Puseletso chats to Marie, Themba's spouse, about the charity campaign run from her perspective. In December 2020, Social Runner Themba Mathebula completed 450KM in 12 days from Centurion to Bushbuckridge to raise funds for school shoes and sanitary towels, for underprivileged school kids. Themba and his team of social runners completed the charity run on schedule and managed to raise over R116 000 in cash donations and more than R50 000 in kind donations.

In this episode, Themba shares on the handover of shoes and sanitary towels to more than 1000 learners in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga. The #450KMRunForAPurpose campaign raised over R120 000 cash and in kind donations to help underprivileged schoolchildren.
MLFM's Justice Mashimbye talks to Themba about the upcoming handover of school shoes and sanitary towels to learners as part of the #450KMRunForAPurpose campaign. More than 1000 schoolchildren in Bushbuckridge are set to benefit from the initiative. Themba also confirms that the campaign is set to become an annual fundraising initiative ensuring that more learners from underprivileged communities are supported.
