In this solo episode, I’m walking you through the exact $94/week nervous system healing routine that helped me recover from burnout, chronic anxiety, and cystic acne — without expensive programs or trendy wellness gimmicks. At 29, I hit a breaking point: I was constantly anxious, mentally exhausted, and breaking out with hormonal acne that nothing could fix. Self help gurus always say "don't have regrets" but tbh, I do. If I could go back in time, I would change certain choices I've made. But I also recognize that without making those "regrets", I wouldn't have gotten the valuable lessons I have today :) Nonetheless, I think we're in such an abundant era where it's so easy to get guidance or mentorship, or even just get general life advice/guidance online. Of course, there's alot of noise on the internet and it can be overwhelming, but at least there are resources (back in my early 20s, social media was just starting to become a thing lol)CHAPTERS00:00 Intro00:29 Thing 101:56 Thing 202:38 Thing 304:38 Thing 408:05 Thing 508:57 Thing 610:18 Thing 7
In my late 20s, I realized I wasn’t living MY life — I was living the life my parents and society expected from me. I had everything that was supposed to make me happy: a corporate career, a house, an engagement, and a future that looked great on paper. But inside? I felt empty, disconnected, and completely lost. So, I did the unthinkable: I blew it all up. I ended my engagement, sold my properties, left my career, and started over from scratch — even though it made me the ultimate disappointment to my Asian parents. This video is for any woman — especially Asian women — who feels stuck, lost, or trapped in a life that doesn’t feel like their own. I’m sharing my raw, unfiltered journey of rebuilding my life and career after a massive pivot, along with the 4-part protocol I created to boost self-worth, rediscover myself, and take action — even when I didn’t have it all figured out.
I've struggled with insomnia for decades and finally, I've ripped the band-aid off and got around to addressing the root cause. In this video, I share my personal journey of how I stopped relying on cannabis for sleep, when I realized cannabis was no longer benefitting my sleep, and how I figured out the underlying root cause of my sleep anxiety and insomnia.
Are you tired of feeling stuck or controlled by your past? In this video, I share 10 life-changing lessons that helped me reframe my mindset, overcome scarcity thinking, and embrace abundance. From redefining meditation to letting go of perfectionism, these lessons took me a decade to unlearn and relearn, so I hope this video will help you learn much faster than I did :) TIMESTAMPS00:00 Intro00:25 These Lessons Will Resonate With You If You Are...00:51 Lesson 1 Control and Scarcity Mindset02:51 Lesson 2 Change Your Definition of Meditation06:14 Lesson 3 Set Expectations If You Want To Limit Yourself09:46 Lesson 4 Why Inputs Matter More Than Output12:52 Lesson 5 How To Master The Art of Quitting17:06 Lesson 6 How Taking Time Off Will Reprogram Your Mind19:23 Lesson 7 Dont Undermine The Gut Brain Connection21:10 Lesson 8 Dont Become Dependent On Your Routine24:10 Lesson 9 Accept That You Will Always Be Hated 26:03 Lesson 10 Be Less Reactive With This Simple Tactic🔗 LINKS→ join the mindful consumption community @ https://www.cannabinista.co/newsletter→ shop my essentials: https://www.cannabinista.co/links 📲 SOCIALS→ website: https://www.cannabinista.co→ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cannabinista.co→ tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@cannabinista→ pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/thecannabinista/→ podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/6Bib310TxGqhVyUNnWHl3M💌 CONTACT→ anna@thecannabinista.com🎵 Music: Epidemic Sound🎥 B-Roll: Unsplash & PexelsThis video is for educational and entertainment purposes only. Previously known as the Mindful Consumption podcast, although it was a small podcast with 10k streams and 1500 Spotify followers, I wanted to provide an update on why I've renamed the podcast to Inner Code, and give some context as to what's been happening with my personal brand and content.Thank you to all who have followed along for the cannabis educational content! If you choose to unfollow, I totally understand. If you choose to stick around, thank you <3
It's been a while since I posted a video. I took some time off social media and content creation to focus on slowing down and healing my health. This video was filmed in November 2024 in Ko Samui, Thailand.
In the summer of 2024, I started getting painful cystic acne, dermatitis, and digestive issues, and my anxiety/depression started to become unmanageable. I spent thousands of dollars working with health specialists to figure out what was wrong. After months of tests, consulting with various professionals, and many hours of research, I've found multiple root causes.
Sometimes we overlook subconscious behaviours and habits that don't seem like a big deal in the moment. Overtime, things we do in our daily life or the way we go about our days, can stack and spiral into a larger issue.
This video is for anyone who may be going through similar issues, but even more so for those who tend to be more type A personality or grew up placing heavy pressure on themselves to do well in life (ie. career, fitness, etc).

I was a binge drinker for almost 10 years. I didn’t know how to just have one drink. It started in my high school days, and got worse once I went to a party school for my university years. I gained so much weight and was stuck in a toxic cycle of drinking, hangovers, and making poor life choices. 4 years ago, I decided to quit alcohol in order to create the actual life that I wanted for myself. I hope this episode can help you or someone who also needs to make a change in their relationship with alcohol – it’s not an easy journey, but it’s the single best decision I ever made for myself.

Cannabis, specifically the compound THC, is on the World Anti Doping Agency’s Prohibited List. Some believe that this compound is performance-enhancing, while others believe it’s simply a tool that can be used for performance recovery. Where is this fine line drawn? And are there other substances that are also performance-enhancing, but not on the prohibited list?
This episode dives into why athletes use cannabis, my personal experience with using the plant for pre and post-workout, what official sports organizations think about the plant, double standards with the prohibited list, and where the future of cannabis lies for the sport and athletics community.

Are you someone that smokes cannabis joints and you wonder what impact it has on your health? It's a question that I've been trying to answer for myself for the past few years as I also occasionally like to partake in joints every once in a while. It's a communal experience, kind of like a social activity, and has been used as a way to help me break the ice with new people or as a way to conduct a business meeting, or simply just a method of utilizing the ancient plant for my own medical needs.
In this week's episode, I explore the question of whether dried herb vaporizing is a healthier alternative than smoking joints. We'll dive into the history of smoking joints, looking at the potential risks of smoke inhalation, and explore the new technology of dried herb vaporizing and see what research has been done on this potential healthier method of consumption.

Ever wonder why you still feel off — tired, bloated, anxious — even when you’re doing everything “right”? You eat clean, you work out, you take your supplements… but your body still doesn’t feel like it’s on your side.In this episode, I walk you through my home, room by room, exposing the everyday products that quietly mess with your hormones — from your skincare and perfume to your cookware and clothes. It’s not about living perfectly non-toxic; it’s about understanding how the tiny, invisible things we use every day compound over time.I’ll share the swaps I’m actually making, what I’m keeping, and what I’m letting go of. You’ll walk away with a clearer sense of how to lower your toxic load without losing your mind — and how to make small changes that actually matter for your hormones, gut, and nervous system. If this one hits, send it to a friend who’s been saying, “I don’t know why I feel like this lately.”CHAPTERS:0:00 starting your day with hormone disruptors0:43 my health story1:32 the intent of this video2:27 your bathroom products10:35 your scents12:25 your clothes15:38 your kitchen20:41 your laundry22:20 your living space23:14 how to lower your toxic load without losing your mind🔗 LINKS→ join the art of unlearning newsletter https://www.artofanna.com/newsletter📲 SOCIALS→ website: https://www.artofanna.com→ links: https://www.artofanna.com/links→ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/artofannaaa→ tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/artofanna→ youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@artofannaa💌 CONTACT→ business & collabs: hello@artofanna.com🎵 MUSIC→ Epidemic Soundhormone disruptors, women’s health, clean beauty, toxic ingredients, endocrine disruptors, phthalates parabens, non-toxic home swaps, natural skincare, gut health, hormonal acne, nervous system regulation, hormone balance, women’s wellness
If your morning starts with coffee because it’s the only way you can go… same. I used to think it was normal until I quit caffeine and realized my digestion was a complete mess. If you’re bloated, constipated, or stuck in the coffee-to-poop cycle, this episode is for you.I break down the truth about why digestion stalls — from gut dysbiosis and sluggish MMCs (your gut’s “cleaning wave”) to nervous system burnout and nutrient absorption issues. More importantly, I share the small, unsexy habits that actually helped me fix my gut: slow mornings, warm water rituals, meal spacing, nervous system regulation, and a few go-to hacks when nothing else works. This isn’t about restriction or perfection — it’s about finally feeling regular, energized, and at home in your body.CHAPTERS0:00 Intro0:49 Who this video is for1:36 Coffee dependent poops1:56 How to know if your poop is healthy3:57 3 Reasons why you might have digestion issues5:15 Tips for getting your digestive health back13:59 Bonus tips for when you're REALLY backed up15:56 Cycle synced teas to support your digestion16:54 I need your opinion!🔗 LINKS→ join the art of unlearning newsletter https://www.artofanna.com/newsletter→ Inner Code traditional chinese teas waitlist: https://www.artofanna.com/coming-soon→ Inner Code IG: https://www.instagram.com/innercode.co📲 MY SOCIALS→ website: https://www.artofanna.com→ links: https://www.artofanna.com/links→ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/artofannaaa→ tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/artofanna→ podcast: http://creators.spotify.com/pod/show/theartofunlearning💌 CONTACT→ hello@artofanna.com🎵 MUSIC→ Epidemic Sounddigestion, bloating, constipation, gut health, microbiome, IBS, SIBO, migrating motor complex (MMC), coffee dependence, nervous system, burnout recovery, morning routine, gut reset, natural gut healing, hormone balance.
Ever feel like your body is working against you? Same. For years I pushed through HIIT workouts on my period, lived on cold smoothies, and ignored every signal my hormones were giving me. When I quit birth control after almost a decade, my body crashed — hello hormonal acne, SIBO, low energy, anxiety, and mood swings. That’s when I discovered cycle syncing: the practice of eating, exercising, and planning your life in alignment with the 4 phases of your menstrual cycle (menstrual, follicular, ovulation, luteal). It completely shifted how I manage my energy, mood, and digestion — and I wish I started in my early twenties. In this episode, I break down:The 4 phases of your cycle explained simplyHow I eat, move, and work differently in each phaseWhat cycle syncing actually did for my PMS, acne, and gut healthWhy awareness (not perfection) is the real secretWhether you’re brand new to cycle syncing or curious if it can fit into a busy lifestyle, this conversation will give you the framework to start living in sync with your hormones instead of fighting them.Tools & resources mentioned:• Cycle tracking apps (use what you like; I mention Lively)• Podcast: Chris Williamson with Dr. Sarah Hill (female hormones)CHAPTERS0:00 intro0:45 why I quit the pill and started cycle syncing2:15 the 4 phases4:38 how I support each phase (nutrition, exercise and lifestyle)11:48 how my mind and body changed14:06 the one thing you can take away from this video🔗 LINKS→ join the art of unlearning newsletter https://www.artofanna.com/newsletter→ Inner Code traditional chinese teas waitlist: https://www.artofanna.com/coming-soon→ Inner Code IG: https://www.instagram.com/innercode.co📲 MY SOCIALS→ website: https://www.artofanna.com→ links: https://www.artofanna.com/links→ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/artofannaaa→ tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/artofanna→ podcast: http://creators.spotify.com/pod/show/theartofunlearning💌 CONTACT→ hello@artofanna.com🎵 MUSIC→ Epidemic Soundcycle syncing, menstrual cycle phases, luteal phase support, follicular phase nutrition, ovulation energy, PMS relief, women’s hormones, hormonal balance, align workouts with cycle, period health
