#002 - Energy

Welcome back to Mindful Dog Talk! In this episode, I discuss: * What “energy” means * Why it matters when it comes to your relationship with your dog * Common ways I see people’s energy influence their dogs * Action steps you can take to command your energy, in order to positively influence your dogs Questions for self-reflection: * What energy am I projecting right now? What feeling is my dog receiving from me right now? * What’s holding me back from relaxing right now? What’s holding me back from being present with my dog right now? What’s stopping me from enjoying this moment with my dog? * What is the energy that I want to project, and what do I want my dog to receive from me? * How do I feel right now? Why? Does this remind me of how I felt at a different time in the past? Right now, what do I need from myself, and from others? * How do I want my dog to feel about me? What can I change about the way I act to show my dog how I want them to operate? Reach out: Instagram - mindfuldogco Email - hanna@mindfuldog.co

#001 - The Human Impact on Dog Behaviour

Welcome to the first episode of Mindful Dog Talk! I’m your host, Hanna Feuer, here to teach you how to better understand and communicate with your dog. In our first episode, I introduce the foundational concepts of my training philosophy and explain how you, a dog owner, are the one who creates your dog’s behaviour (for better or worse). I share some examples of this concept and some ways that you can become more aware of and strategic about your impact on your dog’s behaviour. We at the Mindful Dog team really appreciate you joining us on this new platform! If you like this episode, subscribe, review, and share, and reach us at with any feedback at mindfuldog.ca or @mindfuldogco on Instagram.

Thanks Hannah, We're three weeks away from owning our first puppy and as you said, it's our responsibility to find and authentically embody an approach tha feels right. there are a lot of various approaches out there. So I am excited to hear your podcast and so many ideas that resonate with where I am pre-puppy. However, I'm also aware that reality and intention can be very different. I guess practice, allowing yourself to make mistakes, reflect, and go again will be important. I can see two more shows waiting and hope there will be many more. Gareth from Suffolk, UK.
