Jaliyah reflects upon her time with Minds Matter of Portland; freshman year interviews, cross country flights to attend college summer programs, the mentor & mentee relationships and utilizing MMPDX resources to navigate senior year college applications. As, she prepares to start her freshman year at Grambling State University an HBCU in Grambling, Louisiana, she will discuss her many dreams and goals which include: majoring in psychology, obtaining a Phd, becoming a Marriage & Family Therapist, opening her own private practice and helping under-served communities get mental health help that they need.
