Kamili Yoga™ is an Afrocentric system for Black holistic wellness. From the African Swahili word for “complete” and the Indian Sanskrit word for “union,” Kamili Yoga™ is born of the need for more systems of Yoga that center and celebrate cultures of the African continent and diaspora.  Kamili Yoga™ consists of three structured core tenets, each of which is rooted in the exploration of Pan-African knowledge and traditions, from the African ancestors spread across the Motherland to the Black descendants dispersed around the world. Eternity Philops (she/they/Mx.) is a bodaciously Black and unapologetically queer conscious being who works to educate and serve Black, POC, and QTPOC communities in Yoga wellness. The owner of Soul Liberation Wellness based in Charlotte, NC, USA, Eternity began teaching professionally in 2017 after earning certifications in both Hatha Yoga and Kemetic Yoga. With passionate dedication, Eternity has taught hundreds of students through community classes, university courses, private sessions, and wellness retreats. Addressing the limited options for Afrocentric forms of Yoga, Eternity created Kamili Yoga™, a modern Pan-African system for Black holistic wellness. Its purpose is to reconnect Black practitioners with their ancestral roots through the lens of yogic enlightenment. Kamili Yoga™ is Eternity’s answer to the need for more culturally diverse Yoga systems, more Yoga systems that de-center Whiteness, and more Yoga systems that recognize the beautiful depths of Black and African being. As a South Asian occupational therapist born and raised in San Francisco, I understand health and wellness from diverse perspectives and value the connection of culture and healing. I became a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider to incorporate traditional and holistic methods with my clinical education and training. Early in my career, I learned to provide my patients with the highest level of care while working for top Bay Area hospitals, including Stanford Health Care, Sutter Health's Mills-Peninsula, and San Francisco VA Health Care System. In my experience as a clinical educator, while running an independent occupational therapy mental health clinic, and working in hospitals, I found the greatest gaps in care were in mental health, wellness, and advocacy. As an occupational therapist, I treat both physical and mental health and address every aspect of a person's life. I work to make wellness and mental health accessible to my community. My focus is on helping individuals and professionals meet their goals to improve daily life and work performance. Simple is best. You should be celebrating victories; it's easier to give up when the challenge is too great. I break up steps into realistic and achievable components based on your abilities and strengths. Then build on your successes until your goals are met. All sessions are personalized, whether group or individual. I also offer corporate consultations, courses, and training in wellness, health education, and antiracism in healthcare. Paula Holland has been researching mind enhancement techniques for 10 years. Her first mind enhancement program, Mind Mansion, was instrumental in helping clients to profoundly shift their mindsets in positive game changing ways.  During her studies, she noticed the subversive side of the mind, namely mind control and how mind control was being used to negatively impact individuals and corporately in people groups. In examining people from her racial background, Paula recognized clear patterns of mind control that have been used on Black people and began working on methods to break the control and use the mind enhancement techniques she had discovered to redirect her own mindset and help others do the same.  She now shares this vision of a redirected mindset with her tribe. ABOUT | ABOUT (doubbleconsciousness.com) Contact | Contact (doubbleconsciousness.com) Sandra McKechnie began entertaining audiences over 25 years ago as a dynamic, soul-inspiring songstress, lyricist, and producer. Her belief in the virtue of humanity is what led her to incorporate Double Consciousness into her creative portfolio, further elevating the spirit of listeners through her public speaking. Sandra was featured in a number of concerts and television appearances throughout the mid-90’s to early 2000’s. Lending her talent for benefit shows and collaborating with other musicians on their projects, garnered Sandra critical acclaim for her artistry and skills. Double Consciousness, is the culmination of Sandra’s personal research and exploration, triggered by an urgency to delve deep beneath the surface of Black History as it was told. She shares her findings in a stimulating, upbeat fashion with numerous details and relevant facts that have impacted the fate of two distinct groups of people. Though this is the case, the information remains very relevant and inclusive, encompassing all race groups as they socially interact. Doubble Consciousness in the 21st Century deserves a doubble  ‘BB’.  The fabric of  W.E.B. Du Bois’ concept is the same, however, it is “quality, not quantity” that truly has quantified systemically with age.  This chameleon type identity; often changing behaviors, beliefs, even social norms, adapting to two social identities in order to get along, fit in, adapt…to please.  Yes, resistance is futile, because Mr. Assimilator is never pleased. Taken in and absorbed, over hundreds of years metamorphosizing into the likeness of ‘those that rocked the cradle’, challenged with a strange alliance with one’s captors. A sort of Stockholm Syndrome. It cost this people their true consciousness. Altered like a rock under heat and pressure, under trauma, intergenerational trauma, multi-generational trauma, vicarious trauma, and dehumanization. This people evolved with a semblance of true self, a semblance of their true consciousness and that of the Assimilators. Two streams of thought, two social identities…
