Welcome to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the NY Jets in London on Sunday 23-17. The Vikings jumped out to a 17-0 lead after Will Reichard made a 52-yard field goal, Andrew Van Ginkle had a 62-yard pick six, and CJ Ham plunged in for a 2-yard score. The Jets kept it close and tightened the game to 23-17 deep into the 4th quarter. Stephon Gilmore sealed the game with the 3rd Aaron Rodgers interception of the day in the final minute of play. Will Reichard remained perfect again this week, hitting field goals from 54-yards, 52-yards, and 41-yards respectively. Defensively, the Vikings picked off Rodgers 3 times, had 11 QB hits, and 3 sacks. The Vikings have their bye week in week 6 and will gear up for another big NFC North battle in week 7 against the Detroit Lions at U.S. Bank Stadium. Welcome to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers 31-29 at Lambeau Field on Sunday afternoon. The Vikings started fast and ran out to a 28-0 lead in the first half. Green Bay scored the next 22 points and made it interesting deep into the 4th Quarter. Will Reichard hit a 33-yard field goal with 6:05 to play, the Packers added a touchdown in the final minute, and the Vikings recovered the onside kick to seal the victory. Sam Darnold finished the day 20-of-28, for 275 yards passing, 3 TD's, 1 INT, and added 17 yards on the ground. Aaron Jones led the rushing attack with 93 yds on the ground and 46 yards through the air. Justin Jefferson pulled in 6 catches for 85-yards and a touchdown to lead the Vikings receivers. Defensively, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Shaquill Griffin, and Byron Murphy Jr. picked off Jordan Love once each. The defense finished with 10 QB hits on Love, 12 pass deflections, and Patrick Jones II notched another sack this week. Kicker Will Reichard was perfect yet again and the Vikings pushed their record to 4-0. The Vikings now shift their sights to London, England as they square off against the NY Jets next Sunday at Tottenham-Hotspur Stadium. Welcome to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings improved to 3-0 after a dominant performance at U.S. Bank Stadium over the Houston Texans. The Vikings once again capitalized on an early interception, this time by Kamu Grugier-Hill on the second play of the game and Justin Jefferson turned it into six points six plays later. Cam Bynum also grabbed another interception early in the 4th Quarter that led to a 2-yard touchdown by Johnny Mundt. Defensively, the Vikings recorded 2 interceptions, 5 sacks, 8 pass deflections, and 8 QB hits. Former Texan Jonathan Greenard led the team with 3 sacks. Offensively, Sam Darnold once again was efficient and effective. Darnold finished with 181 yards passing, 4 passing touchdowns, and a QBR of 128.9. The 4 passing touchdowns went to Justin Jefferson, Aaron Jones, Jalen Nailor, and Johnny Mundt. Aaron Jones ran for 102 yards, had 148 combined yards, and his receiving touchdown on the day. Will Reichard also was perfect in the kicking game once again, including a 58-yard field goal in the 4th Quarter. The Vikings shift their sights to Green Bay next week in pursuit of another victory. Welcome to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the San Francisco 49ers in their home opener at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday. The Vikings defense and special teams turned an interception, a blocked punt by C.J. Ham, and a turnover on downs into 17 points to help secure the victory. Sam Darnold hit Justin Jefferson for a 97-yard touchdown pass in the 1st quarter to take a 10-point lead and never looked back. Darnold finished the day 17 of 26 for 268 passing yards, 2 TD's, and 1 INT. Jefferson finished the day with 4 receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown, while Jalen Nailor finished with 3 receptions for 54 yards and the other touchdown. Ty Chandler led the team with 82 yards rushing on the day. Defensively, the Vikings were hungry and got after Brock Purdy all game.
