Hello, Missing in Alaska listeners! The new season is out for Hell and Gone. About the show: Over the past five years of making true crime podcast Hell and Gone, host Catherine Townsend knows that there is no such thing as a small town where murder never happens. She has received hundreds of messages from people, all around the country, asking for help with an unsolved murder that’s affected them, their families and their communities. In past seasons of the show, she’s only been able to focus on one case. But now, she’s hosting a new weekly show on the Hell and Gone feed called Hell and Gone: Murder Line. Every Thursday, she will feature a new case, add updates to old ones, and help as much as she can to get the word out about unsolved murders. If you have a case you’d like Catherine and her team to look into, you can call the Hell and Gone Murder Line at 678-744-6145. Listen here and subscribe to Hell and Gone on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Hi, Missing on 9/11 listeners! We're excited to share with you a sneak peek at iHeartPodcasts' latest release, Wisecrack! Wisecrack: Edd Hedges, the once chubby kid without many friends, is now a young, handsome, stand-up comedian, packing theaters from London to Sydney. After making a name for himself on the road as “The Millennial Mike Birbiglia,” Edd returns to his hometown village, Stansted Mountfitchet, UK, to headline a charity event after a four-year absence, giving him a few days to reconnect with his working-class family. What Edd didn’t know was that his schoolmate – a boy that had bullied him, making his adolescence years a living nightmare – had begun to unravel during the years Edd was building his career. The former star athlete was on a downward spiral, in and out of jail. The most popular kid in town was now the town milkman, and on that night, he would become the town murderer… with Edd still on his mind. This genre-bending event will weave in Edd's stand up set, recounting the scariest night of his life, and the deadliest night in his small village. “Wisecrack,” the world's first mash-up of true crime narrative and stand-up comedy, is one tough act to follow. Listen to Wisecrack on the iHeartRadio App or wherever you get your podcasts!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
She went missing on 9/10. I don't believe she was part of 9/11. something bad happened to her
This entire series has been both incredible and difficult to listen to; anxiety about 9/11. Thank you for sharing the FBI recording . I wish I could hear the conversation more clearly . Listening to Cannon D Major in the background was unexpected. The investigative work on this podcast and the one Missing in Arizona (I plan on listening to many more that become available ). I have thoroughly enjoyed these interviews . Thank you for all your hard work.
It’s possible to have disappeared during 9/11. If you have been fantasizing about having a new life, mulling it over in your mind for months. Then you see 9/11 happen, it’s possible to take that opportunity to disappear. People have done it without 9/11. People have successfully been able to start their lives under a new name, new place and not always thoroughly planned . She could have disappeared voluntarily. It’s easier to disappoint your family if they believe you’re dead .
I feel suicide could be a possibility because there was so much distraction on 9/11 , she may have not been found in the river. However, I don’t believe she committed suicide either. And why can’t both versions of her mood be true? Her friend saying she’s upset and brooding and her mother’s upbeat version. It sounds to me like this family may not always have been honest with each other for reasons such as disappointment in expectations or keeping up appearances….possibly…
Seems like the family is trying to keep up appearances which does not help with the investigation.
Where did her packages end up at? She wouldn’t have gone to rescue people in the towers carrying her shopping bags. No one knows where her shopping bags were?
We need a documentary about this
I understand that Detective Stark is wearing a mask here, but is he actively chewing it or something? I've heard Labradors with more enunciation. Maybe he's being muffled by his bullshit answers or something.
Man, Season 1 really is just a shaggy dog story. Lots of details, infinite tangents, but we end up knowing little more at the end than we did at the start. What a waste of time.
look I dont care about having commercials in the podcast but I dont need to hear 3 sometimes 4 consecutive Trojan commercials by those annoying a holes. it really makes me not want to listen anymore or even buy the product they are trying to sell me.
I'm really anticipating your podcast.
that piercing noise that is used between time stamps is awful, literally can't listen to the podcast because of it as it screams through my brain
What a fascinating episode. very well done and so informative about 911.
Also, can tell when he's interviewing an attractive woman bc his voice is different and flirtatious. Find it annoying. It's not terrible, just makes me roll my eyes.
Definitely interesting. Sometimes I want him to interview more people involved. I guess some declined. Seems pretty thorough overall.
Don’t google her name and read the Wikipedia page about her or you will not need to listen to this podcast. I found out through experience. Oh well.
I am not bragging. But I did completely disappear at age 11 until age 16 with $60., a roll of toilet paper, & a can of tuna. I was fortunate enough to find ID with said $60. and worked under a different name. Many other young girls in similar situations as I was, weren't as fortunate because monsters are real and they are everywhere.
"safer at Lesbian bars than Hetero Bars" Assumptions like that are why you havent found her. Theres plenty of examples showing Women to be just as Violent as Men, Most Homicides in Healthcare are commited by Women and Sneha herself was/is a criminal who communicated threats.
This whole podcast has been replaced by Missing in Alaska. Someone messed up somewhere. Probably Castbox. This app is horrible.
Seems like not only the detective, but a majority of this podcast is contradictory. A bit annoying to listen too. The mixing up of names and times make it for a sloppy podcast.
