Candice, for the first time speaks openly about the traumatic period in their life when their son, Emmett, was diagnosed with CMV (Cytomegalovirus). What started with a failed hearing test at birth which was assumed to be fluid in the ears lead to a much more serious diagnosis. Candice then speaks honestly about her miscarriage after Emmett, in which she felt "relieved" as she was beginning to recover from the trauma of her sons diagnosis. She acknowledges this may be hard to hear for many women. After time passed, the pair tried for another baby in an attempt to grow their family which unfortunately resulted in another miscarriage.
