Running offers a multitude of health benefits, but can also boost self-confidence, mindfulness, and provide an overall sense of well-being. In this episode my guest and friend, Alaina Thompson and I geek out on running!  As two non-runners turned marathoners, we’ve learned a lot over the course of our running journeys that we want to share with you to help get you started training too.  We talk about the importance of mental preparation, setting clear and realistic goals is essential (whether they involve races or personal achievements) and how to tailor your goals to your current fitness level.  We give our advice on Training for a 5km Race - Training for a 10km Race - Training for a Half Marathon- and what you need to know about transitioning between these distances.  We ask share our biggest take aways on: How to find the right training plan  The importance of nutrition  Injury prevention  The type of gear you'll need The different types of run training you’ll find in a plan and more We even include a rapid fire round of all our favourite brands and items!
