In no means is this a comparison to the horror these people went through, but I live in Columbus, Ohio and right around this time we had our own version of demented sick F%^K sniper. That was scary enough, but I couldn't imagine the extended terror those people had on a daily basis.

Holy shit people are fucked up! Of course the snipers are fucked up. But then these people being interviewed just breeze over the fact that someone died and are more concerned with “oh it could have been me” get the fuck over yourself, a fucking person is dead. It could not have been you bc it was this person that the sniper chose to shoot. It was never going to be you... bc it was the person that was actually shot. These people are really hard to listen to, more concerned with themselves than the person who actually died.

I find it odd, as a physician she refers to the paramedics as the ambulance people..

I worked at Shady Grove Hospital in Montgomery County at the time, and lived in Frederick County (where they were eventually caught.) Everyone was on edge at that time.

Being from the DC Metro area- this was such a scary time! i was in my freshman year at college- but home often. The young boy was shot at my middle school- the Michaels shooting happen an hour before my father was to visit with the manager- the rest stop was one we often stopped at while heading back to school... getting gas was terrifying. Not trying to make this about me.. because im sure many others had fear and similar situations in RE to this scary time. we should never have to live in fear like this. god bless the police who worked so hard to keep us safe.

My mother was a dispatcher on the DC sniper task force in Montgomery County. I lived off of Hewitt ave in Aspen hill at the time. I remember the bus driver that was killed. I rode his bus to and from school in Rockville. His name was Conrad, and he was hilarious. A great guy.
