Tennessee traveled to Oxford this weekend to take on #1 Ole Miss. The Vols brought their brooms to a mustard party while the Rebels took a light weekend. With Tennessee’s sweep in the 2nd series of SEC play they now hold the unanimous #1 spot in all of college baseball. The fightin’ Tony Vitello’s have outscored their SEC opponents 49-12 and hold an incredible 210 run margin on the season. The Vols do not have much time to rest on their laurels. Tennessee welcomes Western Carolina into Lindsey Nelson for a midweek battle before traveling to Nashville to take on the Commodores. GIVE IT UP FOR YOUR #1 TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS. The Vols opened up SEC play in familiar fashion, with a sweep over division opponent South Carolina. Drew Beams Sunday show made him the SEC freshman of the week. Trey Lipscomb continues his home run hitting ways a bomb this weekend and he now leads the SEC with 9 homers. Tennessee welcomes Butler to Lindsey Nelson on Tuesday before traveling to Oxford for another SEC series this weekend.

The Vols move up to number #7 per D1 baseball after their sweep over Rhode Island and 2 wins over James Madison this week. Jared Dickey was named All-SEC Freshman of the week. Vols continue their home run hitting ways as they prepare for Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday and open up SEC play vs South Carolina at home.
