Description
Morning Coffee with Sandra is a powerful voice for all women 40+ as we face challenges unique to our generation. We are the sandwich generation, caring for aging parents, growing or grown children, grandchildren and sometimes doing all of it while maintaining a professional career. And yes, salary equity is still an issue. Our professional career successes have been hard won, without the benefit of the ‘boys club’. We are living longer and healthier lives, which creates a host of issues including living alone, financial concerns, and new relationships. We don’t necessarily want to look older than our age, so fitness and health are important to us and we have grown beyond the need to mold ourselves into others expectations. We have learned to face life with strength, dignity and a big helping of humor.
Sandra and her guests offer hope and help for the great challenges facing women today. So grab your favorite beverage and join in as Sandra introduces her listeners to “talk you can trust” with guests who have the expertise and experience to back it up!

What are the most common ways women get in their own way? Are you guilty of these behaviors? What are these behaviors costing you in your relationships, career, health and well-being? What are 3 simple things you can do, starting today, to get out of your own way?
Join me and my guests, Kim Ades, President of Frame of Mind Coaching and JournalEngineTM Software and Dr. Sabrina Schleicher, Executive Coach and Founder of the Tap the Potential Journaling Community, as we discuss this timely, and somewhat controversial, topic.
Join me and Marcia Barhydt, Columnist on Ageism for Kalon Women as we talk about Ageism "Old Jokes" and how it has affected the Boomer Generation of women and men!
Marcia Barhydt: "We cannot tolerate and we must stop ageism. If we realize now that jokes about people from other heritages are racist and discriminatory; if we realize now that jokes about other religions are intolerant and discriminatory, if we realize now that jokes about the opposite gender are sexist and discriminatory, then why don’t we realize that jokes about older women are ageist and discriminatory?"
What does it mean to be a woman today?
When you think of feminism today, what comes to mind?
Are we ahead of the game or are we losing ground?
Do you feel that feminism means that we don’t need men or that we are men haters?
How have we as women been defined by male precepts – how we should look, think and behave?
Join me and 3 panelists as we open this month long series with a lively discussion on this timely topic. Call in and join in on the discussion – MEN are invited too – we’d love to hear from you. We will also have our chat feature available to send in your questions or just to listen in. Remember – you can listen in live through Blog Talk Radio or from Facebook!

Linda created The 8 Steps to Wealth after seeking the answer to the question, “What makes people rich?” After studying millionaires, she recognized a pattern, followed it, and became a millionaire herself at age 38. Seven years later, she heard an inner voice telling her to stop making rich people richer, and to teach others what she knew. As a strong money engine, Linda discovered there are financial bubbles that occur about once a decade. They grow quickly and can be a great place to invest if you recognize them early and know when to get out. Linda was able to identify the top of the real estate market in July 2007 and time the sale of her primary residence to maximize it’s value. She learned about cycles that are repeatable, predictable patterns that occur, even in the stock market! By combining the next bubble with cycles, investors are able to have their money work hard for them and grow tremendous wealth. Linda P. Jones is a Wealth Mentor, CEO, and founder of the Global Institute of Wealth for Women, empowering women worldwide to financial freedom. GIWW shows women how to increase their wealth beginning with their mindset and ending with their legacy. Linda has been passionate about growing wealth for herself and others most of her life. From a young age she studied millionaires and identified steps they followed to build wealth. After following the steps she became a millionaire at age 38. Linda has over 25 years experience in the investment industry. She is the financial expert for Star 101.5 FM radio in Seattle and writes a financial column for the Examiner.com in Los Angeles.
