I grew up in kalispell, this is insane. What don't people get, these "transients and vagrants" were and ARE a part of our community. It's the wealthy assholes who've moved here that think they know what Montana values are (deep red republican - which... they weren't) who think this is their right. My grandfather housed train jumpers, my parents cook, donate, and volunteer for the shelters. These used to be Montana values. And these were the Christian values these people claim to cling to but now claim are only liberal talking points.
There are certification programs available and I would recommend taking one. It's a big responsibility to take on and there are a lot of factors to consider, but it's such an amazing gift.
