You’ve cleared the obstacles and paved the way, All that remains is to loosen your hold.   It’s time to send away what doesn’t serve you, time to clear the inner decks of clutter. It’s time to see yourself with more clarity, time to push farther into the light. PAUSE… Exciting things wait for your attention. Possibility hovers within reach. Make a clean break from the patterns that break you, And let your spirit soar to new heights.   It may take some time to find your way, To whatever you’re meant to discover. Try to enjoy the bumps and the curves, Knowing the path will point you toward good.   PAUSE… Letting go can be like ripping off the band-aid, Or sometimes like slamming a door. But often, it’s like when you stop holding your breath, Clearing the way for fresh air to flow in.   Breathe in and imagine a flood of relief, a rush of freedom and warmth. You’re nearly where you need to be, exhale and feel the peace.   PAUSE… When the moment feels right and your heart feels ready, Gather up the sabotaging beliefs. Picture a handful of dull, rough pebbles, Hiding in a tightly clenched fist.   Let your pulse slow, then let your breathing match. Take all the quiet moments you need. Picture that fist opening like a flower, Watch the pebbles tumble out and disappear.   PAUSE… Feel your spirit dance with new lightness. Feel the joy of being kind to yourself. It’s time to explore what your heart has to say About the forward steps it wants you to take.   The heart knows well what changes must come, and what thoughts stand in your way. More than any other part of you, it bears the scars of the beliefs you’ve outgrown.   PAUSE… Though it wants you to leave the pain behind, To let go of what’s blocking your path, It might need reassurance even as it assures. It might need to be soothed as it soothes.   Don’t mistake this softness for uncertainty, For the heart is a channel to your core. It just needs to know that you’re in this together, That you’re committed to whatever awaits.   PAUSE… Of all the various parts of you, Letting go might be hardest on your heart. It invests and believes, even when it’s not wise, And feels the pull even when you’ve moved on.   Take a deep breath and comfort that heart, let it know you’re aware of its struggle. Moving forward may be tough, and it might hurt for a while, but the leap is worth it every time.   PAUSE… Once you and your heart are on the same page, The way forward will be easier to see. You might even feel some new anticipation, A willingness to embrace what could be.   So, try not to fear the process. Accept that it’s part of your journey. The act of letting go always comes with resistance, So breathe in and strengthen your resolve.   There’s nothing to fear in this process, and you’re ready to make the leap. If anxiety tries to get in your way, dismiss it and carry on.   PAUSE… Just like the beliefs that trip you up, Fear can wind its way into your mind. It’ll try to convince you to hold onto those barriers, Whispering that you’re safer if they remain in place.   But deep down, you know that’s an illusion, A reaction to the uncertainty of change. You’ve heard other whispers, the voice of your soul, Telling you it’s time for transformation.   PAUSE… As you prepare to break with these thoughts, You need to get your mind on your side. Allow it to imagine what might be possible, When you let go of those limits and lies. Remind it of its brilliant purpose and the reasons you’re ready to do more.   PAUSE… Breathe deeply and picture the you to come, The person you’d truly like to be. Let your mind make a list of the benefits, The joyful things you’ll do once you’re free.   You alone define the borders of your psyche. You alone decide what gives you what you need. When your mind and your spirit are united, Those decisions feel easy and free.   PAUSE… Today, you can make a friend of your mind. You can show it what your heart is asking for. Ride the waves in, And out, As your awareness invites you to slow down.  PAUSE… Breathe in, Breathe out. In, Out.  LONG PAUSE… As thoughts arise,  As tasks pop up, As visions paint themselves in your mind, See if you can bring your attention, Back to your breath, Allowing all those things in your head, To dissolve.  LONG PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine, The soft glow of blue, Hovering just above your chest.  PAUSE… The warm glow beats softly, With the rhythm of your heart.   PAUSE… Take a big, deep breath in now, Feeling the expansion of your chest and belly, And watching as the blue glow grows too.  PAUSE… Hold the air in for just a moment… And then exhale,  Releasing it all out,  And feeling your body contract.  PAUSE… Now ease into a gentle rhythm of breathing again, Letting the waves of your breath calm you, Relax you, Comfort you.  LONG PAUSE… Feel the warmth of the blue light, Above your chest.  And as you breathe, Feel it spread out into your right arm, All the way to your hand and fingers. Softening you. PAUSE… And then feel the warm blue glow, Spread down into your left arm, All the way down to your hand, And into your fingers.  Relaxing you. LONG PAUSE… Imagine the blue light traveling slowly down your back, From the top of your neck, Down,  Down, Down,  Covering and softening your lower back.  LONG PAUSE… The gentle blue glow now hovers over your stomach, Falls down your hips, Down your left leg, And then your right.  Warming you, Calming you. LONG PAUSE… One with the rhythm of your breath,  The blue light ascends up through your chest,  Rising up your neck,  Softening your face, And covering the crown of your head. Cast your inner eye toward the clutter inside, Prepare to look for the beliefs that don’t serve you.   You’re not required to keep them if they’re not earning their keep. Some ideas aren’t meant to be yours forever.   PAUSE… If you’re honest, you’ve known this day was coming. You’ve felt it for months, maybe years. But when it’s easier to look away than face the mess, It’s human nature to ignore the steady ache.   That strategy can work for a good long time, Long enough to forget there’s a problem. At some point, however, the mess will expand, Making it harder to point your attention elsewhere.     PAUSE… You’ll see signs in every direction, Hints that something’s not working as it should. You’ll feel the unease in your body, And carry the weight in your heart.   You’ll even glimpse hints in the world around you, As troubles seem to inexplicably multiply.   PAUSE… As always, you have the choice to look away, But deep down, you know that won’t help. By the time you feel distress tugging at your spirit, You’ve nearly reached the fork in the road.   Though it takes courage to point yourself into the wind, You’re saving yourself pain in the end. Change comes when you’ve outgrown what stands in your way, And you lower your shoulder and press on.   PAUSE… So take a deep breath and get ready, For the time has come to let go. It heals, it forgives, it seeks to understand. It seeps into the darkest spaces and shines its light. So the intention of today’s meditation is to consciously let love expand inside of you. So you can heal. So you can grow. And most importantly, so you can share it.  Go ahead and let yourself settle into comfort,  Allowing your body to be relaxed and alert.  And just start noticing your breathing. The rhythmic motion of expansion as you breathe in, And contraction as you breathe out.  The cool air on your nose as you inhale, And the warm air on your nose as you exhale. The natural slowing down and relaxing of your body. Breathe… PAUSE… Imagine with me that you feel a warm, soft energy inside your chest. It’s small and round and glowing with rays of warm, yellow light. This yellow ball of energy illuminates you from the inside, And as its light touches the spaces in your chest and your heart,  You feel light.   And filled with love.  PAUSE… Now take a moment to think about one thought or feeling that may be causing you pain, discomfort or unrest right now.  Identify where it’s living in your body.   And as you take a deep breath in, imagine that you’re sending this little ball of yellow light to that place. And just notice the mighty ball of yellow energy illuminating that space. Casting out the darkness. Expanding the light. And letting love expand there. Feel the lightness.  Feel the love expand with every breath in.  PAUSE… Now for the next few minutes, imagine that little ball of yellow light traveling to anywhere else inside of you where pain, discomfort or unrest is living.  And imagine this small, yellow ball of energy bringing light to the darkness. And let the love expand inside of you.  PAUSE… Now bring your attention to your breath. Noticing the yellow light glowing everywhere inside of you. The time has come to take a closer look At the messages you’ve collected over time.   Not everything you believe has a place in your mind, And there’s no need to let them do you harm.   PAUSE… It might take some work to sort through them, Since our beliefs tend to spread out and intertwine. One flawed thought can affect so many others, Causing problems you don’t even realize.   If you FEEL your way through them, however, The outgrown ideas will stand out. Anything that makes you feel small and unworthy Doesn’t deserve any of your spirit’s precious space.   PAUSE… Though it doesn’t really matter where you found it, Sometimes it helps to try to follow the trail. If you discover the source of the darkness, You can purge that ugliness as well.   Breathe in and ask your soul to guide you. Trust it to show you whatever needs your attention.   PAUSE… When you concentrate on seeing the goodness in you, You’ll find more and more light as you go. For your authentic self is brilliant and luminous, Always waiting to show you the way.   To fully let go, you must believe in that self. You must listen when it asks for your help. It knows what’s required for your greatest good, And it knows what stands in your way.   PAUSE… So let yourself begin the process. Make ready to lighten your load. Find relaxation flowing like a fountain, In this perfect place. PAUSE And, as the fountain serene, Flows through your limbs and center, Open your heart, And let the peace enter. PAUSE Take a deep breath, And hold these feelings. Keep the calm close, As you begin healing. PAUSE So, take a moment to breathe, And let the last year come back, Like a movie on a screen, Where you’re ready to act. PAUSE Find a place in the film, Where you felt regret, And hold that feeling in your hand, LIke you’ll never forget. PAUSE Now, imagine opening your hand, And a butterfly sails free, “You’ve learned your lesson,” it says, “So move on, please” PAUSE For regrets are to be acknowledged, And learned from for sure, But they need to be released to the Universe, To show they’ve really been heard. PAUSE So, with each regret you find, In the last year of your life, Acknowledge it. Bless it. Then, release the strife. PAUSE  Keep working on this opportunity, For you to release. And hold that space, of perfect peace. PAUSE The more regrets you learn from, and let go of their baggage, The better you will be, As more time passes. Blessings. PAUSE Keep breathing and staying connected, letting your mind clear stray thoughts and open wide to possibility. PAUSE See if you can imagine a beautiful, hand-carved totem pole rising before you. A totem pole of your ancestors, loved ones who have crossed over in your lifetime and before except at the top. You are at the top of the totem pole. PAUSE Reach out your hand, exploring the smooth curves and valleys of each part of the totem pole. They feel like parts of you. PAUSE Starting at the bottom, your hand glides over the nose and eyes of an ancestor and you hear a whisper from them: “You stand on my shoulders. I bring you this gift.” Breathe into the whisper until you feel their gift. PAUSE You move to another ancestor on the totem pole, and begin gently stroking their face. As you do, you feel love from them, and hear a whisper. “You stand on my shoulders. I bring you this gift.” What is the gift from this ancestor? Breathe it into yourself. PAUSE You choose one more ancestor, one that seems to call to you with the deepest of love. You cup your hands around their face. This time, you hear a different whisper. “Yes, you stand on my shoulders, But you were my gift.” Take a minute and hold this offering of love close. PAUSE Breathe, and feel yourself returning to the present. Take in all the love and blessings  from your ancestors. Hold them in your being. PAUSE Breathe again, and listen to one more whisper. “You stand on our shoulders, And we will love you always. Accept this beautiful whisper. And thank the ancestors for this blessing that you will carry with you. Always. PAUSE Take your hand and place it over your heart, honoring this person and their contributions to you. Feel them as part of you. PAUSE Now, thank the person one more time. And, know that they are not just your past. They are your present. They are your future. They are an honored part of who you are, And you are honored to carry them with you. Always. Perhaps you’ve pushed them down, Or maybe the wound still bleeds.  PAUSE… Rest knowing, That this heaviness can be released. The wound can be healed, And you can be free from the pain.
