To round out our 2026 season, we brought back a friend of the show to discuss those who exceeded, met and fell below...our expectations. We also talk about those who miserably failed. You can bet the architect of this team will be in that proverbial jail. Plus, yours truly has a seismic trade offer to share, so you best not go anywhere.
Our season finale episode is here, and it was so big, we had to split it into two. Here's part one, including reacting to what David Stearns said when he met the media on 9/28 to reflect on a season that was far from great.
Another week done where the Mets lost as much as they won. Now the 2026 season, one that started, but before too long wasn't, so fun, is gone like the setting sun. This week we close the book on a year that began with hope, but soon thereafter had us feeling like dopes. However, they did close strong, so now full-time manager Andy Green and those here in 2027 will look to get the team humming to a different song. We hope you'll come along.
While the team had displayed recent success, the return of the Polar Bear to Queens brought a much-needed reality check for this year's New York Mets. We roared for his first 264 balls soared, but after hitting his 300th and 301st jack while wearing orange and black, it made us remember the mistake the organization made when they chose to not bring Pete Alonso back. Certain players felt like that was an attack, but it was more directed at David Stearns, who many of us feel is a sad sack. That sack's boss, owner Steve Cohen, had some words to share about the potential fresh perspectives the team's set to bring in to be a guiding voice in Stearns' ear. We also preview the last week of the year, both for the Mets and MLB as many teams fight for wins they need so desperately. The final 6 games are here in a season that had so many we'll likely forget. But we hope you come join us as we talk...Mostly Mets!
The Mets have another winning week thanks in large part to a sweep of the fish, courtesy of the red-hot bats performing at the dish. We don't get our Subway Series win wish, but there's still a lot to be excited for. And, as the final homestand begins, we preview what the week has in store.
