Many people never experience God because they try to get God to show Himself on their terms. But God is always at work carrying out his purposes and plans. How do we find out about His plans and purposes? In this episode we’ll explore the minimums that we must understand and act on to experience God.

Experiencing God is Possible: All of us have read or heard about the stories in the Bible where God has shown up in an amazing way. There’s Noah, who God gave detailed instructions to to build an ark. Or, how about Moses meeting with God on Mt. Sinai and receiving the 10 commandments. Then there’s the apostle Paul on the road to Damascus when God suddenly blinded Him to stop him from persecuting the Church had Him join the Church instead. There are patterns in scripture that we can clearly identify where God shows and people experience Him in fantastic ways. That is still happening today. Many people genuinely want to know God’s will for their lives, but they often think they’re missing it. This is because we misunderstand a few things about God’s will and His plan for our lives. In this episode we discuss how to discover God’s will for our lives.

In this episode we reveal the open secret to answered prayer! There is a greatest prayer, the greatest that can be offered. It is the substratum of every true prayer. It is the undercurrent in the stream of all Spirit-breathed prayer. Jesus himself gives it to us and He Himself lived it for us.

Who is Jesus - The Patience and Power of a Great KingWhen you come before a great King you are encouraged to pay him due respect. When you enter a great King's realm you are obliged to kneel before him as his vassal. In this installment we'll hear about such a great King through exploring the parable of the Landowner followed by the parable of the wedding banquet, which give us two beautiful pictures of our Great King. The first shows his enduring patience toward his disobedient subjects and the second, an encouragement to accept His invitation to join Him at his great wedding feast. Our King will claim what is rightfully His and He will reward loyalty to His crown.

Jesus was the ultimate teacher using everyday things from His surroundings to teach spiritual truths. Using parables was a favorite of His. A parable can be thought of as an earthly story with a heavenly or spiritual meaning. In this episode you'll hear how Jesus used the Parable of the Mustard Seed to predict a bright future for His discouraged disciples. This still encourages us today.

In this episode we look at Prayer as a war measure. The pretender prince has taken control of this world through deception. Although He was defeated in a battle of cosmic proportions by the rightful king, he has been allowed for a time to continue on the battlefield and he is still holding prisoners. Through our prayers we wage war against this prince of darkness and truly make a difference in setting captives free as we await the coming of the rightful king.

It is not uncommon for those mental images to shape the way you think about Jesus, and the way you respond to Him in your life. In my experience, most people have a variety of misconceptions of who Jesus was and is - from the way He looked, to the interactions He had with people. A thoughtful read of the Gospels will significantly change your mental images of Jesus and challenge you to rethink not only what He looked like and lived like, but also the very reason He came. You’ll also see Jesus’ method of reaching hard to reach people. He starts by grabbing a woman’s attention and then arouses a curiosity in her. Next He creates a desire in her to have what He’s offering. Jesus, very willing to give her what her heart desires first does something that many of us would think too forward – He confronts her sin. The gospel is not complete without dealing with sin. Once sin is repented from, access to God is immediate. She could not contain her newfound faith. Listen in to see what she did next!

To believe what Jesus was saying meant that his current understanding of the pathway to God was completely flawed. Jesus uses a powerful event from the Old Testament book of Numbers to challenge Nicodemus on his views. Jesus was very clear on how people can gain eternal life.

In this episode we tried to reconcile the Bible passages on prayer with our experiences, since our experiences don't always match what the Bible says. This episode introduces us to prayer and to the God who answers prayer.
