I'm a little bewildered that these podcasters said, "Don't ever forage....Get your dried apricots from a factory only." This implies big corporations and chemical developers are more trustworthy than our ancestral knowledge. They also stated that people get closure from the true understanding of the circumstances of their loved one's death. The word "closure" implies that it eases the pain of losing a loved one. It does not, and it's an insensitive term to use.
When we still differentiate a child by the colour of their skin or as indigenous or not displays the bias. it is a child murdered or lost...not a the colour of their skin....and that should be the focus. The only reason we need to know more...and not in the headline...is when a description is provided so the community can provide input to the case.
Love the show - will you be doing any more episodes? thanks!
