Agri tech cutting edge, water your crop with e-coli ladened water and use imported illegal slave labor to care for them? What could go wrong? Admit it, the machine investment, while increasing efficiency and consistency, hasn't resulted in reduced labor costs..., maybe even just a little bit?

One could and should argue that it's the mushy middle moderates, going along to get along that have facilitated this nation in veering away from the base of its founding and the Constitution. Thanks for the indifference. You also expound on the dominance of the private sector in leading. True until it isn't. The exponential growth of the gubmit sector over the most recent years is starting to crowd businesses. Perhaps most recent actions in equities, US longer bonds, and precious metals reflect

Taleb in addition to being a great author and mathematician has made good bank trading his own book. He is quite correct about the dollars reserve status being impaired by disasterous political decisions. His position on gubmit debt destroying currency value is also spot on. Both extremely strong headwinds for consumer purchasing power. How far can this market melt up continue with extended valuations front running inflation with the devaluing dollar. Goto cash recommendation in inflation? wow!

Good conversation about various ways to view investing! It's all good however you get there as long as you do actually get there. Don't be like me working 60 to 80 hours weekly well into your elder years. I used to shake my head at people like me, wondering how they let that happen.Too much cash, too much risk adversity, too little hard assets, and too idiotic to act on macro trends I observed. Leverage is a great tool, used wisely, in an inflationary environment. Good luck and greater planning.

Your commentary on auto insurers in the three states. California crime and EV's massive repair cost with ev fire hazards driving increases seems most logical? Minnesota recent crime waves and their lackadaisical winter road maintenance in the most recent years is a probability? Missouri only theory is urban zone crime wave of the cities on the state border? Enlighten me.

Emily. quit using the platform to preach your climatology faith to the listeners. As a breather belonging to the deplorable excess carbon class, I'm not having it. Thanks to Bill for attempting to shut it down and inject some reality into the conversation. Shame on Emily for doubling down with the vengeful climate fairy is very angry because carbon based creatures are breathing.... or something.... or another. I've wondered the same about $NCLH. Good interview by Tim. Thanks.

Why wouldn't the US gubmit aid corporations in capturing the home rental market, boxing out holpeful 1st time home buyers? It's all part of the WEF great reset that the US uniparty has adopted. Granted the US uniparty desires the 'excess carbon' class to dwell in multi-family units to meet the WEF 50x50 agenda they've adopted in word and deed, however incrementalism is key to avoid revolt. One uniparty puppet is pandering to 'help' first time buyers with a $25k grant! You know the impact.

The need to abandon the gold standard in 1971 was a culmination in LBJ era policies of war and dependency creation. When you have physically backed money in place it quickly shows the folly of imprudent fiscal policy. That's why the pols prefer the shenanigans shielding stealth taxation of fiat. They'll just make more.

Big tech is going to get the traditional reliable energy production, while the proles will be left sweltering or freezing in the dark with that inflation acceleration act subsidized unreliable, "green" sometimes works, mostly doesn't energy. Good luck pedaling your genset for an hour to listen to a 1:30 podcast.

Confidence in the dollar has contributed to holding hyper inflation in check as the supply of the currency has exploded exponentially, but the major factor has been ubiquitous demand and acceptance as world reserve 2 facilitate global transactions. Once the politicians finish destroying this, we'll likely see the type of inflation where the price changes from the time of selecting the product in store to checkout. Smart retailers are already investing in tech capable to perform this function.

Listened completely to the interview segment imagining this was the pitch correcting Buffets way of thinking, of course while chuckling🤣. Using EVs as production balancing? Who's willing to participate in range drain to scale? Much about capital improvements vs grid maint. Nothing on 'green' vs reliable energy priority spend contrasting maint.? Green w\o gubmit subs is costly replacement cycle? Fan of buried, but that has issues too. Lots more ?s than the fillibuster or time allowed. No sale!
