Galatians 5:13-15 13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: Love your neighbor as yourself. 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

Psalm 71:14-19 14As for me, I will always have hope;I will praise you more and more. 15My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds,of your saving acts all day longthough I know not how to relate them all.16I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord;I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone.17Since my youth, God, you have taught me,and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.18Even when I am old and gray,do not forsake me, my God,till I declare your power to the next generation,your mighty acts to all who are to come. 19Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens,you who have done great things.Who is like you, God?

Psalm 23 1The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.2He makes me lie down in green pastures,he leads me beside quiet waters,3he refreshes my soul.He guides me along the right pathsfor his names sake.4Even though I walkthrough the darkest valley,I will fear no evil,for you are with me;your rod and your staff,they comfort me. 5You prepare a table before mein the presence of my enemies.You anoint my head with oil;my cup overflows.6Surely your goodness and love will follow meall the days of my life,and I will dwell in the house of the Lordforever.

Psalm 10 1 Why, Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?2 In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises.3 He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.4 In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.5 His ways are always prosperous; your laws are rejected by him; he sneers at all his enemies.6 He says to himself, Nothing will ever shake me. He swears, No one will ever do me harm.7 His mouth is full of lies and threats; trouble and evil are under his tongue.8 He lies in wait near the villages; from ambush he murders the innocent.His eyes watch in secret for his victims;9 like a lion in cover he lies in wait.He lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.10 His victims are crushed, they collapse; they fall under his strength.11 He says to himself, God will never notice; he covers his face and never sees.12 Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.13 Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, He wont call me to account?14 But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand.The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.15 Break the arm of the wicked man; call the evildoer to account for his wickedness that would not otherwise be found out.16 The Lord is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land.17 You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,18 defending the fatherless and the oppressed, so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror.

Psalm 90 A prayer of Moses the man of God. 1Lord, you have been our dwelling placethroughout all generations.2Before the mountains were bornor you brought forth the whole world,from everlasting to everlasting you are God. 3You turn people back to dust,saying, Return to dust, you mortals.4A thousand years in your sightare like a day that has just gone by,or like a watch in the night.5Yet you sweep people away in the sleep of deaththey are like the new grass of the morning:6In the morning it springs up new,but by evening it is dry and withered. 7We are consumed by your angerand terrified by your indignation.8You have set our iniquities before you,our secret sins in the light of your presence.9All our days pass away under your wrath;we finish our years with a moan.10Our days may come to seventy years,or eighty, if our strength endures;yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,for they quickly pass, and we fly away.11If only we knew the power of your anger!Your wrath is as great as the fear that is your due.12Teach us to number our days,that we may gain a heart of wisdom. 13Relent, Lord! How long will it be?Have compassion on your servants.14Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.15Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,for as many years as we have seen trouble.16May your deeds be shown to your servants,your splendor to their children. 17May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;establish the work of our hands for usyes, establish the work of our hands.
