The gang plus the incomparable Lisa Fornoff joins us on her birthday to catch up with all the goings on at M-R and there is A LOT!
Now that Fall is here, things begin to wind down (somewhat) and 1st Quarter is already over! The year is already going by so fast!
Miss us? Because we missed YOU! It really doesn't slow down at M-R and so much has gone down since our last episode! We are hoping to find our groove now that the marching season and football is quickly winding down.
Starting off strong with a Lisa List, we catch up with all the goings on (and there was A LOT).
Lisa is sadly gone, but the trio went to a duo but we are back to a trio thanks to our new co-worker Hannah! It won't be the same without Lisa but we will have her on the show again soon! 2025-2026 is looking good already!
Another day in Nashville and boy was it a good time! Met some new friends, listened to so many NEW performances from singers and songwriters. A great second day in Nashville it was!
The gang is crossing the border...to Tennessee! Taking a group of seniors to discover or rediscover their country music roots and boy was a great first day!
Kevin is back for this one and we have a lot of catching up to do! We also go on a lot of tangents and without Lisa, this train is off the tracks.
A longtime friend from WIU pays a visit to talk about their Music journey and boy is it unique! How many of you can say you've taught at a military base?! Pretty neat convo on the way!
We have BRAND NEW guest with us today! Kieren is one of High School teachers that has a unique passion for music and a unique instrument to boot!
The world renowned composer Mark Hayes was invited to M-R to work with students and it was such an amazing day of making music! He was such a pleasure to host and to get him on the podcast was an absolute treat.

Another haitus but Solo and Ensemble contest is no joke! But the results speak for themselves and we couldn't be happier for our students. Chole Sibert, Lisa's student teacher makes their debut on the podcast as we go over the whole S&E season and what lies ahead for Organizational Contest!

We are with Madeline Wood, outgoing District 2 President after her demonstration lecture on Flex Band and its use in her program and how it can be used in many others.
The panel is done...we can now breathe. What a fun time it was. Joining us are our favorite Mercer County people and former block student, now band director from A-Town, Hannah Murray!
The MITM team is presenting at our state music convention with a bunch of our favorite music teachers! We hope this episode hits home for those of you that did Solo and Ensemble in middle school or high school!
