My Adventures With Digimon

This one left us way more confused than we expected. We’re breaking down Digimon Hurricane Touchdown!/Transcendent Evolution! The Golden Digimentals, the original Japanese story that became 1/3 of Digimon: The Movie we grew up with on Fox Kids. We really enjoyed that heavily edited Saban version, so finally seeing the original should’ve been an easy win. But somehow, it feels darker, slower, and even more confusing than the crazy editing of the Saban cut. Willis and Terriermon are at the center of the story, and we’ve got a lot to say about why these versions of them didn’t connect with us quite the same way. From Willis’s history with Kokomon to the Golden Digimentals and a story that gets increasingly stranger as it goes, we’re figuring out why the version we loved as kids might actually work better for us.📺 WATCH MY ADVENTURES WITH DIGIMON ON YOUTUBEhttps://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0gHHg-xQBVPkZXCHukQAE6XMdqcqKfUm❤️ SUPPORT THE SHOWPatreon: https://patreon.com/hopefullyawesomeBecome a YouTube Member: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHRvjz_pKP1Th5Y8ZIwFMtQ/join🛍️ HOPEFULLY AWESOME MERCHhttps://hopefullyawesome.creator-spring.com/📒 SHOW NOTES AND RESOURCESTime Stamps0:00 - My Adventures With Digimon - 2x21.54:18 - Hurricane Touchdown!! We’re a married couple who love 90s and 00s nostalgia, good laughs, and geeking out over the stuff we love.Whether you grew up watching Digimon or you’re discovering it for the first time, grab your Digivice and come along for the adventure. My Adventures With Digimon is part of Hopefully Awesome, where we keep things positive, have fun, and celebrate the stuff we love.

We’re closing out the Digimon Emperor arc with one of the most emotional victories of our Digimon Adventure 02 rewatch so far. Magnamon finally arrives for an awesome showdown with Kimeramon, but the real heart of this episode belongs to Wormmon. His heartbreaking sacrifice turns what should be a huge victory into something much more somber.Support the show: https://patreon.com/hopefullyawesomeBecome a Member on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHRvjz_pKP1Th5Y8ZIwFMtQ/joinCheck out our Merch! - https://hopefullyawesome.creator-spring.com/This video is NOT sponsored. We’re talking Episode 20, “The Darkness Before Dawn,” and WOW are we ready for the Digimon Emperor arc finale! Kimeramon is completely out of control, Ken is finally starting to realize just how far he’s gone, and Wormmon makes the huge decision to help Davis bring the Emperor’s flying fortress down from the inside. But the moment that had us the most excited was Davis discovering the mysterious golden Digi-Egg and unlocking Veemon’s incredible new Armor Digivolution: Magnamon! That golden armor entrance is such a fantastic cliffhanger, and after everything this arc has been building toward, we cannot wait to see Magnamon take on Kimeramon and find out how this whole Digimon Emperor story ends.Support the show: https://patreon.com/hopefullyawesomeBecome a Member on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHRvjz_pKP1Th5Y8ZIwFMtQ/joinCheck out our Merch! - https://hopefullyawesome.creator-spring.com/This video is NOT sponsored. This week on My Adventures With Digimon, T.K. has officially had ENOUGH, and we loved every second of it. Our Digimon Adventure Season 2 rewatch podcast continues with Episode 19, “An Old Enemy Returns,” as T.K. comes face-to-face with the Digimon Emperor and straight-up throws hands with Ken in one of the most satisfying moments of the season so far. We’re talking about what pushes T.K. over the edge, how his history with Devimon makes that quick cameo hit so much harder, and why this confrontation feels like a side of T.K. we rarely get to see. Plus, Kimeramon is finally unleashed, the Emperor’s plans are getting scarier, and part two of this four-part story seriously raises the stakes. Hell yeah, T.K.!Support the show: https://patreon.com/hopefullyawesomeBecome a Member on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHRvjz_pKP1Th5Y8ZIwFMtQ/joinCheck out our Merch! - https://hopefullyawesome.creator-spring.com/This video is NOT sponsored. Apparently Yolei woke up and chose absolute chaos. As the DigiDestined begin searching for the Digimon Emperor’s mysterious moving base, the episode starts laying the groundwork for a bigger, more connected story that has us really excited about where Season 2 is headed. But the real question is… what the heck got into Yolei?! She goes from determined to completely unhinged so fast that we half expected her to pull a Jessie Spano and start yelling, “I’m so excited!” Thankfully, her reckless streak leads to a genuinely sweet moment with Hawkmon and a little much-needed perspective from Kari. We’re talking Yolei’s wild behavior, the promise of this new overarching storyline, Ken’s floating fortress, and why this episode was such a fun time.
