After a long hiatus, we’re back, and as spicy as ever! In this episode you’ll get to hear all about the adventures in new homeownership that Jake and Jeff have recently embarked upon. Basically you’ll find out that Jake is a hoarder and Jeff is really, really bad at yard work. Enjoy!
This week is all about animals, including shitty pets, animals that we’ve eaten, those that Jeff wants to blow up, or the poor creatures that Jake has hunted or massacred. Enjoy!
Per our request, our listener and friends Ronnie Cruz emailed us some further info about the Public Safety Academy that he went to. We hadn’t ever heard of a Public Safety Academy, but we’ve found out that it’s basically a super awesome high school where teachers set fires and students put them out, among lots of other really cool stuff. Here’s a link of the website, which has the most awesome header image EVER.
Hey everyone! Since we took a couple of weeks off for the holidays this year, we’re reaching into the archives back to November for Part II of our Jake-less show starring our friend Adam! We ask some tough questions, and attempt to answer them. It gets messy. Hands are stuck in ceiling fans. Make sure to follow us on twitter and be our fans on facebook! Also check out Adam’s site where you can see his awesome art! Thanks for listening!
Hey, we survived the end of the world! Despite all the evidence to the contrary, the world didn’t end from earthquakes, solar flares, or invisible planets made of magic gas. Just in case though, on Dec. 20th we decided to record for our listeners a guide to the world after the apocalypse. Enjoy!
Merry Christmas! In this episode we talk Christmas. The guys give terrible “gifts” to each other, Jeff reads some Christmas themed Sonic the Hedgehog fan fiction, and they read a Christmas story sent in by a listener. Enjoy!
Jake is out this week, but you wouldn’t know it based on the sheer number of top notch Jake impressions flying around the room. Jeff and Rich are joined by their friend Adam to talk Blizzards, used needles, track uniforms, wood varnish, and a lot of the other usual topics you would expect us to cover over the course of an episode. While you’re listening to this week’s ep, you should head over to Adam’s design website and check out some of his awesome artwork. Because not only is he hilarious, but a gosh darn good artist to boot. Next week we’re doing our third annual HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR episode, complete with the annoying sleigh bells (not the band) that you’re used to year after year. If you need help getting in the holiday spirit before or (more likely) after the show, you should head over to our t-shirt store and pick up an awesome Terrible Friends “I’m Kind of a Bigger Guy” shirt for a loved one. There’s always our Facebook, Twitter, and iTunes page if you feel like sneaking in our chimney and leaving a review. Thanks for listening!
Jake and Jeff are all married and honeymooned, so it’s time to get back into the swing of things. In this episode, the guys sit back after gorging themselves during Thanskgiving dinner, and talk about all the things they are thankful for. Actually they discuss how absurd Jake looks on his recently purchased 200cc motorcycle, reminisce about Crystal Pepsi, question Rich about why he carries food in his coat pockets, and argue about a lot of dumb and funny things. Enjoy!
This week’s episode is all about Jeff’s honeymoon. And Jake’s dad leaving outhouse tanks as buried treasure to be discovered on the family farm. And how awful the guys will be to each other’s kids when they finally become parents. Jeff honeymooned with his lovely wife Lauren at Disneyland in Florida, where they almost committed a felony by touching a sea turtle, hugged a very gross and moist Winnie the Pooh, saw lots of awesome African Safari animals (at fucking Disneyland of all places), and rode the Star Wars Star Tours ride A LOT. Enjoy!
That’s right, now Jeff is married! Of course Jeff and Rich were there to celebrate the big day, and good friend Seth Macy came all the way from Maine! The weekend involved Seth finding some interesting comments written about Jake in the bar bathrooms of Manhattan, KS, backyard campfires every night, and funny events with Jeff’s family and childhood friends. Enjoy!
In this episode, Jake tells about his honeymoon in California. He stayed at a horrible hotel in San Diego, went fishing in the ocean, tried bodyboarding (which he wasn’t very good at), and went kayaking and snorkeling (which he wasn’t very good at either) with sharks and sea lions. Enjoy!
That’s right, Jake got married, and his good friends Jeff and Rich were right there to celebrate. In this episode, the guys talk about some funny things that happened before and after the wedding, including Jake’s continuous run-ins with the local homeless, Jeff nearly having to decimate a child’s birthday party, an unforgettable excursion to a shady liquor store to buy champagne, and a discussion about auction house artwork. Here’s the glorious artwork featured at the reception hall (auction house shed) at Jake’s wedding reception.
We’ve got a new guest this week, Austin, TX stand-up comedian Gy Odom. We discuss a new (to us anyway) Jamaican dance phenomenon called “Daggering”. Jeff also shares a website where you can buy all sorts of science class supplies, such as pickled pig fetuses, and dead sharks. Or you can use them to terrorize your friends.
Hey everyone! Jake just got married! Now, I know what you’re thinking to yourself, “Great. Now I get to listen to them talk about Jake’s wedding for the next hour.” Well, don’t worry! That won’t happen until next week’s show! This week Jake is on his honeymoon, so Jeff slides into the over-sized host chair and he and Rich are joined by their college friend Josh! Topics of discussion include: Updating sex terms to include football metaphors, text messages about surf boards, blood sandwiches, sandy bunk beds, public libraries, malt-o-meal cereal, the sport of cricket, MAD Magazine, and much more. Once you’ve been thoroughly engaged by this week’s show, head to our Facebook page to talk about it, or follow us on Twitter. Since nobody did anything bad to your paperback copy of Jurassic Park, you can also head over to iTunes and write us a nice review. It’s our favorite thing! Thanks for listening!
If nothing else could be said about us here at the Terrible Friends Podcast, it’s that we have your health and safety in mind at all times. This means that when we realized our recording session with the man known to the internet as King Lou contained WAAAAYYYY more than your daily recommended dose of awesome, we decided it was our duty to split it into two separate episodes. So here’s part two, safely ready for you to shove deep inside your ear holes. Enjoy. When you’re done listening, you should check out our guest’s amazing podcast, Lou Reads the Internet for You! It’s one of our personal favorites, and like our own brand of humor, contains hours of hilarious and sometimes disgusting information. You should also stop by and like our Facebook page, and follow us on Twitter. Please head over to our iTunes page too and leave us a review. We love that shit. Thanks for listening!
This week we are joined by our good friend Lou who has a wonderful podcast called Lou Reads the Internet for You. On his podcast, Lou reads some of the weirdest and worst that the Internet has to offer, so you don’t have to. It’s a hilarious podcast and you should definitely check it out. Lou tells us about his recent trip to PAX where he worked as an announcer for the League of Legends championship, and saw all manner of strange and wondrous things. He also shares with us an example of how a truly awful Internet meme can be used to create something artful and creative (Gotse into an awesome coffe mug), and what to do when you get mailed a wholesalers catalog for porn merchandise. In case you’re wondering, you make magnets. Follow us on Twitter! @terriblejake @terriblejeff @terriblerich @king_lou We’re on Facebook too, and so is Lou!
Jake’s getting married, so he had a bachelor’s party! In this episode we talk all about it. The night involved chicken wings, sour beer, and Jake getting the crap beat out of him by a pair of strippers. Enjoy!
Our good friend Matt Clark is back again this week, and we come up with some marketing slogans for a shoelace store. Don’t forget to find us on Facbook, Twitter, and if you’re really great, leave us a review on iTunes! Also, send us an email at terriblefriends@gmail.com if you’d like to ask us any questions or share stuff with us.
We’ve got our good friend Matt Clark as our guest this week. Jeff and Rich “apologize” for being awful to Jake in the previous podcast and the boys talk about the funny things they used to do to people in chat rooms when they were in high school. Enjoy!
We’ve got our friend Nolan back as a special guest this week. He tells us all about the woes of adulthood, and Jake recounts a recent trip to Chicago where he acted super awkward and annoyed about everyone he met. Enjoy!
