Jamie Loftus takes you through her year in the high-IQ Mensa society, from taking the test as a joke to spending the Fourth of July with 2000 angry Mensans in Phoenix. Chaos reigns, but at least it tests well.

I really do like Jamie, she has a sort of innate gentleness that's hard to resist, even if you hate Robert Evans and the rest of that set.

Loftis made a podcast where she pesters the most autistic dweebs on the planet in the name of feminism and pretends to have been in some sort of danger, I really like it. 😊

What an enormous whinefest. Most Mensa members are white supremacists and nerds! Are you some type of nut? BTW, groups of smart people in America are also determined by SAT scores, Ivy League degrees and whether their ancestors were on the Mayflower so the nation that Mensa is unusual is nonsense. Amateur sound effects. Make a generalisation against white men = liberal, make a generalisation against black people = racism. I started off thinking that you should have called the police over the threats but that fell by the wayside very quickly.

I really tried to give it a try since the story seemed so interesting. All the edits and the silly sound effects are extremely annoying.

Listened in one day while doing all my laundry. Fascinating story about a great topic: everyone knows what MENSA is, no one knows much more than that. It sounds a lot like an old school Sci Fi/Fantasy con. Ha

Fun fact: "Hoser" is slang for idiot in northern Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. And Canada, apparently. It's actually pretty derogatory, but I find it amusing that the Firehouse members call themselves that.

I immensely enjoy this. Funny, interesting and pretty fucking accurate of what I've experienced. The sound effects are hilarious, even the air-horns, which April seems to hate. A very entertaining listen.
