33 Episodes

As Democrats begin to decide how many articles of impeachment they want to bring against the president, Republicans are doubling down on what they call a "sham" investigation. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) joins Chuck Todd to talk about how this probe could have implications in the 2020 elections. Also, exclusive to Meet the Press, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) explains why Democratic plans to impeach the president are unfounded. And Rep. Denny Heck (D-Wash.) gives an exclusive interview to discuss why a divided Washington has taken a toll on him. Kristen Welker, Robert Costa, Stephanie Cutter and Carlos Curbelo join the Meet the Press roundtable.
Republicans are waging a social media war urging newly elected Democrats in vulnerable swing districts to vote against impeachment. Democratic presidential nominee, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) discusses why her campaign won’t get distracted by the ongoing hearings. And exclusive to Meet the Press, Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) says why he’s not concerned about Russian talking points on Ukraine’s involvement in the 2016 election while former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-Calif.) and former Secretary of State John Kerry discuss their new initiative to tackle climate change in America. Al Cardenas, Maria Teresa Kumar, David Brooks and Betsy Woodruff Swan join the Meet the Press round table.
As the cloud of impeachment hangs over the Trump White House, Democrats mull over what’s next. House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) discusses the shifting Republican attitude toward impeachment. Co-chair to the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) and the men behind the Steele Dossier, Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch come exclusive to Meet the Press. Also, Neal Katyal says why his new book, "Impeach: The Case Against Donald Trump," provides more details as to why President Trump must be impeached. NBC News correspondent Katy Tur, former Gov. Pat McCrory (R-N.C.), Eliana Johnson, and Michael Eric Dyson join the Meet the Press roundtable.
Cory Booker, Tulsi Gabbard, Amy Klobuchar, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Andrew Yang, and Tom Steyer engage in the fifth 2020 Democratic primary debate for the presidential nomination.
As testimonies begin in the impeachment hearing, Republicans are arguing that this inquiry will only harm the nation. Homeland Security Committee Chair Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) says that this will damage the country and erode executive privilege. Foreign Relations Committee member Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) explains why these hearings are necessary. Also, former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick talks about why his late entrance in the crowded Democratic field makes sense. Peggy Noonan, Eugene Robinson, Jeff Mason and Danielle Pletka join the Meet the Press round table.

the reason the public is so confused is because you dont talk about the abhorrent things this administration has done and is doing. then you bring on the people who are making millions off all the horrible things, of course they're going to defend their cash cow. literally private industry has made over 3billion dollars off of imprisoning children. what other industries are making billions off this presidency?

I want to thank Kamala Harris, for bringing up Transphobia, along with the other "phobias!" so far she has mentioned it! corey Booker, has addressed the Black Trans murders! I would like to hear all Democratic candidates mention, and address these Trans issues! Trans in military, bathrooms, murders of Black Trans women, lack of jobs and employment. As a Black Trans woman, and Vietnam Veteran, it is imperative that these issues be addressed by all! I belong to the Green Party, but I will vote Democrat, to get that orange MONSTER, and his enabling and corrupt Trumpublicans, out of the White House! He must not get another term! He is destroying our country with his, and Steven Miller's White Supremacist views, diatribe, and violence!

Senator Tom Cotton is a racist ass warmongering hawk, and a piece of 💩. As a US Vietnam Veteran, I can say what I see! Senator Tom Cotton tore up and lambasted the treaty that President Barack Obama made with Iran, that Iran was honoring; up until Donald Trump, voided it, because it was brilliantly initiated and orchestrated, by a Black man! Tom wants war, and states that we (the US) will be the country that drops the "last bomb!" All Trumpublicans need to be removed from our government! 😭😨🤯🤬💔😡

I don't understand why Liz Cheney can go on national Television and call out Omar, and Chuck not recall Trump's comments about Charlottesville. Did Liz have the same reaction to his comments?

So your telling me you don't get why Trump doesn't understand empathy...it isn't a riddle it's affluenza. Maybe we shouldn't elect people to represent us who don't have a clue on how it is to live as us...
