When you come from nothing, the only sure-fire way to catch up to where you need to be, is to work harder than everyone else, and use leverage. If you can use other people’s money, with permission of course, and you make some correct assumptions about the future, you might be able build more, with less. One step further, trillions of dollars of assets migrating into the digital ecosystem (which is what CBDC's help facilitate) will usher in the most significant changes to wealth we've EVER seen. Concerns exist, absolutely, especially over the long term. A responsible and trustworthy RBNZ is the at the base-layer of our financial system.
