“Leisure” by W. H. Davies What is this life if, full of care,We have no time to stand and stare. No time to stand beneath the boughsAnd stare as long as sheep or cows. No time to see, when woods we pass,Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. No time to see, in broad daylight,Streams full of stars, like skies at night. No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,And watch her feet, how they can dance. No time to wait till her mouth canEnrich that smile her eyes began. A poor life this if, full of care,We have no time to stand and stare. xx Atticus@atticuspoetrywww.atticuspoetry.com

Does the sun promise to shine? No, but it will—even behind the darkest clouds, and no promisewill make it shine longer or brighterfor that is its fate,to burn until it can burn no more.To love you is not my promisebut my fate—to burn for youuntil I can burn no more xx Atticus@atticuspoetrywww.atticuspoetry.com

This is the most beautiful relaxing podcast I’ve ever heard, so soulfully eloquent in the voice, words and music combined.

I loved this episode!! I was on the bus on my way to work, listening to this, and it made me smile, both on the inside and outside. I also love the poem "I Wanna Be Yours" and was so delighted to hear it in this episode! My favourite band, the Arctic Monkeys, have actually turned John's poem into a song! Highly reccomend, if you get a chance to listen to it.
