Their works include the viral webcomic, “The Wuhan I Know”, and the bestselling graphic memoir that was inspired by it, Messy Roots. Tiffany Yap is a conservation scientist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. S.M. lives in Portland with his wife; they spend their days making mead, gardening, and cycling (though not as far or often as they should). Kelly is a writer, musician, and ½ of Ominous Powers Ink, a comic book imprint and story universe shared with his best friend of 30 years. He has held a long series of menial jobs that have given him the time to stay creative while informing his sensibilities; whether he was cleaning toilets, inhaling hazardous solvents, or handling dead animals, he understood that this necessary work was always secondary to his personal Work.
