On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview author, artist, healer and philosopher Paul Levy, who over the past 20 years has written several books on the Wetiko —  or Wendigo — entity, a psychic disease first identified by Native Americans that he believes has lulled humanity into this catastrophic moment.Under many names, and in virtually every spiritual system, this entity has been known by humanity for millennia. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview author Eric Wargo about his theories surrounding time, precognition, retro causality, and the paranormal. Wargo has written several books, two of which we talk about extensively in this conversation: “Time Loops,” which lays out his theory for how precognition may work, and “From Nowhere,” an elucidation of that theory and an examination of how this innate human skill seems to have manifested itself in the work of several prominent writers and artists throughout history. Wargo is an outlier as a theorist. His ideas of precognition and retro causality don’t rely on consciousness as a mechanism, and don’t presuppose the imminent demise of reductive materialism, or physicalism, as a force in science.He maintains that discoveries in physics have opened and will continue to open doors to the possibility that causation can run both forwards and backwards. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview experiencer, disclosure activist and remote viewer Birdie Jaworski, who in this conversation describes many of her NHI contact experiences and delves into the art and science of remote viewing. Jaworski, formerly known as Prudence C. Calabrese, had early experiences of contact, but reality truly shifted for her when she was introduced to remote viewing, for which she seemed naturally suited. That experience and knowledge ultimately led to a series of encounters with a “Gray Dude,” an alien who seemed connected with a series of downloads that continue unfolding even now. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview Kevin Cann, an experiencer and retired IT professional who was prominently featured in Jeffrey Kripal’s latest book, “How to Think Impossibly.”He even wrote a section of Chapter 3 to help ensure that Kripal accurately captured his approach.Cann, who has been diagnosed with autism, describes his lifetime of experiences in this interview and explores how those experiences relate to his autism, his early and severe childhood trauma, and the need to survive and thrive despite those challenges. He’s developed a philosophy, Platonic Surrealism, that he believes best captures the kind of universe that has to exist in order for him and others to have the types of experiences that have been reported throughout history. Most visionaries, he believes, were likely somewhere on the spectrum. In this episode, we interview researcher Seth Peribsen about fungi and its deleterious presence and impact on the human mind and body, and how that presence may well explain much of what humanity is experiencing in terms of non-human intelligence.The notion is derived from the theory of panspermia, and Peribson (a pen name) theorizes that fungus colonized both the planet and human species, bringing with it a host of negative outcomes. Its long list of impacts on humanity may include limiting the endogenous production of DMT, effectively cutting off humanity from its spiritual source, as well as being the cause of many diseases and other physical and psychological infirmities. By infesting the brain and manipulating its processes, Peribsen believes fungus may even have the capacity to manipulate our senses and shape our sense of reality. Peribsen in this conversation describes how he believes the science bears out his model, and also delineates how several ancient mythologies seem to have encoded that truth. He traces its arrival and spread throughout history and geography, and outlines how fungal consciousness may work and how it may interfere with our own.  Peribsen has fostered the growth of a community around this subject, and has put forth a regimen of natural supplements that he believes can help loosen the stranglehold the fungi is currently exercising on most human beings. The NAC Protocol, as it’s called, consists of a few inexpensive over-the-counter products that can help rid the body of these organisms. On this episode of Neon Galactic, through our third interview with Jeffrey Kripal of Rice University, we come as close as we ever have to finding answers around the various stripes of anomalous phenomenon we have long been covering.Kripal is perhaps the most influential thinker working today in the broad and often confused study of the anomalous. He’s written several books, but his most recent – “How To Think Impossibly” – is an urgent and convincing call for people to reconsider reality and take more seriously the message being communicated by the uncanny and strange. In this chat, we discuss the book, and its assertions that the anomalous represents two co-equal principles – firstly, that the human is in fact a composite being, one aspect as the conscious, personal ego, and the other a deeper and more connected being, a figment of the all. The human as two.Secondly, Kripal argues that dual aspect monism is the most rigorous and coherent approach to explaining reality while leaving all of people’s experiences on the table.It is an ontology that argues reality is at root one thing, with two predominant aspects: the material, and immaterial consciousness. They are fundamentally the same, yet remain contrasting expressions of the whole. We also discuss the role of imagination in connecting humanity with the broader truth of what is. Kripal argues that the various shades of the phenomenon are different ways that the whole deploys to make us rethink our place in the universe, and how we conceive of ourselves within it.His vision does not preclude the existence of other beings and entities, yet they too would be creatures of this broader reality, and perhaps better able to grok its complexity. For over three decades he has been engaged in research on the frontiers of consciousness. Before joining the research staff at IONS in 2001, he held appointments at Princeton University, SRI International, and other academic and industrial facilities.He has been invited to speak to such entities as Merck, Google, Johnson & Johnson, and Rabobank. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we sit down with author James Cobban to discuss his two-volume work, “Nursery of the Gods,” which represents a distillation and interpretation of the massive amount of channeled material from medium and author Jane Roberts. The information Roberts presents in a number of volumes reportedly comes from a discarnate entity named Seth. Her aptly named body of work, the “Seth Material,” was produced from late 1963 until her death in 1984. In this second episode of Neon Galactic’s The Rethink, we again convene a panel of experts from across the various fields that have interest in and around the field of anomalous studies and ufology. In the episode, we sit down with author and journalist Keith Thompson to talk about his long history with the topic of ufology and his relationships with some of the greatest influences in the field, including John Mack, Jeffrey Kripal, and Laurence Rockefeller. Thompson is an author, independent journalist, talk radio personality, former TV show host, and former U.S. Senate staff member. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview security specialist Kaleb Bench from the History Channel’s hit show, The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch, about his work on the property, his many anomalous experiences there, the overall investigation into that strangeness, and his relationship with other crew members, as well as ranch owner Brandon Fugal. As the brother-in-law of ranch Superintendent Thomas Winterton, Bench was brought in early work security at the ranch, and describes several incidents where inexplicable events unfolded around him, including some that left him injured and concerned about his general health. In particular, Bench relates how a recent episode of the show – one that involved a young calf blinded by an energetic and unexplained phenomenon – mirrored his own injuries. He also reveals several sightings by him that have largely gone under the radar. Bench describes his own spiritual journey, independent of the show, and wonders whether his experience with spirituality primed him for connection with whatever intelligence is behind the many occurrences on the ranch. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview Dr. Stephen Finley from Louisiana State University about the complexities of race and the UFO/UAP/NHI phenomenon. Finley studied at Rice University under Jeffrey Kripal, and offers a challenging yet vitally important perspective into how anomalous experiences manifest to the African American community, and how they read and interpret the various themes and details presented by NHI. We discuss the notion that the UFO subject appeals mostly to white people, an argument he demolishes. Finley lists several prominent black experiencers, while also outlining how these experiences differ from stereotyped contact and what those difference might mean. We also discuss the white supremacist origins of some UFO lore, through William Dudley Pelley, George Adamski and others, and how that connection can present barriers to people of color looking to engage with the topic. We consider the relationship between the African American community and the U.S. Government -- a continuum of mistreatment stretching from experimentation and 3/5ths personhood to the prison industrial complex and Cointelpro -- and how that history might complicate notions of governmental disclosure. While the phenomenon seems to be pushing humanity to recognize and consider different ways of learning and knowing, it's precisely those ways of knowing that have been obfuscated and ignored by a broader white and materialist culture.
