Nerding Out on ABA brings in the new year with a special guest, Chloe Rothschild. She is 30-years old, diagnosed with Austin Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and has been a strong advocate in the field. There is a lot of debate on whether or not ABA can and should be used to target mentalistic or psychological behaviors such as anxiety and depression. The good news is, mental health diagnoses are essentially a list of behaviors and ABA is all about targeting behaviors!! The experimental and applied sciences of behavior inform us of the principles and laws we use in practice.
