Born in East Germany, Dr. Schröter worked at the Military History Institute in Potsdam from 1974 to 1990, ultimately reaching the rank of Major in the National People's Army and serving as Head of the Military History Department for NATO and West Germany.Last year, Dr. Schröter published the book "The Ukraine War: The Roots, the Actors, and the Role of NATO." Well you're in luck because today I’ve got one of East Germany’s most successful spies on this show.Mr. Rainer Rupp was born in 1945 and grew up in West Germany but started working for the East-German intelligence services in the early 1970s. He was hired by NATO in 1977 and forwarded tens of thousands of NATO internal documents and plans to the East. He was only caught in 1993, after the end of the Cold War, serving a prison sentence until 2000. Originally published on 22 Nov 2025.The United States just managed to pass a highly controversial resolution in the United Nations Security Council, which basically transforms Gaza into a UN Mandate and makes Donald Trump its governor. Resolution 2803 has alredy been heavily criticized by Human Rights experts like Francesca Albanese and Craig Mokhiber. The puzzeling thing in this is that Russia and China, both abstained from voting, thereby helping the resolution to pass. Yet, the more dysfunctional the industry gets, the more it seems to be denying any wrong doing, blaming anything, from technological progress to Social Media and Fake-News for their demise. Instead of soul-searching, we get a relentless blame-game. And this trend is getting worse. After all, Chomsky and Herman, after publishing their book on “Manufacturing Consent” got at least still interviewed about it on Mainstream Media.
