It took us way too long to edit this. In this episode, we try to talk about pop culture but every conversation takes a left turn. Some Highlights: end of the world, Tory Lanez, and new Drake. 

This episode we breeze through the Jada & Will "controversy" to talk about a few of the newly released music floating around. We also engage in a spirited debate about Meek Mill's effectiveness as an activist and address our fears about becoming Black gun owners. It's an interesting one for sure. 

They really have to chill with the fireworks — whoever “they” are. Through it all, on this episode Manny shares his conspiracy theory about artist RMR’s true identity. Could he be an industry plant? We also have a conversation about black economics, open relationships and much more. We've been trying to record two at two weeks, but trying to find the perfect time that works for people who are in different states and different time zones can be a challenge. Sorry for the wait and thank you for your patience! 

This week we had to battle with technology to create a cohesive episode....we did our best. This episode we  respond to the protest fueled hip-hop songs of the past weeks and examine if they are needed in the culture or not. And yes, we do talk about B. Simone.

This week we release some emotions and share our thoughts on everything going on right now. We start with mental heath checks and end with a call of action to support black women, a group that continues to be over looked way too often.  It's a long one, but unpacking systemic racism isn't an easy task at all.  We stand behind the movement that calls for an end to police brutality and simply asks that African Americans are treated with the respect we deserve.  BLACK LIVES MATTER

The Bulls of Durham is a living history book project created by Sheila Amir. She moved to Durham area in 2015, fell in love, and by 2016 had started the process of writing her book.
