Episode #11 Davey Johnson - Date: 02/14/2018 Davey Johnson is back for a very special Valentine's Day Episode (only sort of). We discuss body parts, Snoop Dog, comfort food, and how we like wear our swim trunks. We also have my friend Eliana sitting in to say whether some of our jokes are funny or not and listen folks, she doesn't always hit the nail on the head (re: to me debuting a new joke)
Episode #10 Johnny Pemberton - Date: 02/06/2018 Johnny is one of the biggest weirdos I know and I love him. This is his first of many appearances on the podcast. We share some prank phone call stories and talk about how his love for prank calls originated. Johnny and I connect strongly when we talk about food so dive into some good food chat and then make some weird noises and make a prank call.
Episode #9 Blair Socci - Date: 01/31/2018 Blair is a crazy-talented stand up comedian that just recently moved back to Southern California from NYC and excited to have her here. We met at a comedy festival in New Orleans and bonded over some strange shared experiences while there. In this episode we talk about our feelings, therapy, dating/breakups, eating, and family. So pretty much everything
Episode #8 Chris Thayer - Date: 01/23/2018 Chris Thayer is a hilarious stand up comedian. Each time we bump into each other we have long in-depth conversations about whats going on in our personal lives. It was a no brainer to have him on as a guest on my podcast. He recently moved from Los Angeles to Arizona. We discuss what that means for him personally and professionally as well as diving deep into our relationship problems.
Episode #7 Kool Kojak - Date: 01/16/2018 This is a special long episode where you can listen to Kool Kojak and I create the Off & On theme song in real time. Kool Kojak is a music composer who has produced numerous hits with artists like Flo Rida, Nicki Minaj, Kesha, Waka Flocka Flame, and Sean Paul. We are currently working on a music project entitled Woke Unkle which you will be hearing about real soon! If the episode is too long feel free to skip around after the first 90 minutes. I couldn't be happier with how the song turned out.
Episode #6 ANGELA HILL, ADAM PRYDE- Date: 01/10/2018 Angela Hill is a UFC fighter who I met a few years ago and became friends with. Her husband Adam is a Muay Thai boxing coach at the gym Angela trains at in San Diego. The story of how they met and how they both got into fighting is super interesting and different than what you'd expect. Angela's MMA career has been inspiring for me to watch as it unfolds and I'm excited to have them on the podcast!
Episode #5 JAMES AUSTIN JOHNSON - Date: 12/26/2017 James is a hilarious stand up comedian. Since I've been doing comedy for 10 years its rare that I stumble upon a comedian I haven't heard of that cracks me up as much as James. In this episode we dive deep into James' past as a Christian child/teen actor and stand up comedian while growing up in Tennessee. And we learn about how he and his finance met years ago before they both left the church they grew up in. I love this episode!
Episode #4 INESSA FRANTOWSKI - DATE: 12/18/2017 Inessa is an amazingly talented character/sketch performer and writer originally from the Toronto area. We connected almost 10 years ago in LA when she was visiting for a few months and recently have become much closer friends. In this episode we talk about what makes each of us a good friend to somebody, dancing, and getting hit by a car.
EPISODE #3 THANKSGIVING ACROSS AMERICA - DATE: 11/30/2017 This episode was recorded on Thanksgiving. People called in on a phone number that I tweeted and I talked to them about their Holiday. It was interesting hearing the varied and shared experiences people who were scattered across the country were having. Some people were alone, some people had 20 plus people, some people were Canadian going about their business. I talked to someone's step mom named Memory, a sleeping boyfriend, and a 12 year old who loves Mountain Dew. It's a long episode but as whole piece I think it's pretty cool.
EPISODE #2 STEPHANIE - DATE: 11/30/2017 Stephanie is a girl that ghosted me on Tinder almost 2 years ago. She also happens to be one of my best friends right now. In this episode we dive into how we met, what she was going through in her life at that time, and how we recently become close friends. Stephanie has never been on a podcast before and she is an amazingly strong person for getting vulnerable on this podcast with me.
EPISODE #1 - DAVEY JOHNSON - DATE: 11/30/2017 What better first guest than Davey Johnson. Davey and I met almost 10 years ago at the now defunct Tomorrow Show, which was a weekly variety comedy show in Los Angeles hosted originally by Ron Lynch, Craig Anton, and Brendon Small. It took place at midnight every Saturday and it was 100% where I learned who I was comedically. The show and Davey taught me so much about improvising, acting, and doing absolutely anything for a laugh. Davey is one the best dudes I've ever met and after years and years of working together he for sure the easiest person for me to talk to for an hour plus. He will be a regular guest.
