Happy 4th of July weekend! Today we continue our summer series based form the book called "Mansions of the Heart." This book cover the ancient texts from Teresa of Avila and John of the Cross in the 16th century. They were passionate masters of living a spiritual life. Their work and lives help us understand how to pray through a world of deception, and of doubt and suffering. I hope you read along with us this summer and are prepared to go deeper in your faith!
I'm really looking forward to the summer series we start today from the book called "Mansions of the Heart." This book covers the ancient texts from Teresa of Avila and John of the Cross in the 16th centruy. They were passionate masters of living a spiritual life. Their work and lives help us understand how to pray through a world of deception, of doubt and suffering, a world of rejections and betrayal and idolatry. I hope you read along with us this summer and are prepared to go deeper in your faith!
Today, Alyssa Fitzgerald will be sharing about how prayer helps lead you to your primary purpose. As the Lead Pastor of Mobile Ministries, Alyssa oversees our outreach ministries at New Song.
This weekend we celebrate Pentecost, which means "50 days after Eater." The church began at Pentecost and continues to this day for all followers of Christ. So many great things happened on the first Pentecost: the Holy Spirit was poured out, spiritual gifts were given to people in a brand new way and we were commissioned to share the story of Jesus! We continue to have that honor and privilege to present truth and love, not truth OR love!
After preparing for ministry here at New Song, Glen and Carrier Keller moved to Lander, Wyoming in September 2015, where Glen was appointed as Senior Pastor of Living Water Fellowship. This weekend we continue our series "All In," as we look at Jehoshaphat and Uzziah, two hero kings of the Bible. They both lived lives that honored God, yet they were still just people like you and me with strengths and weaknesses. So much of the Bible can relate to us individually if we will approach it with open hearts. Being "All In" is all about what God can do as we stay close to Him. What a relief to know He is faithful and we can trust Him with everything in our lives! Let's stay the course and follow His lead. He has a plan and it is the best!
