Jose St. Phard & therapist Erik Peterson talk on how one can pursue a healthy relationship as part of our Red Flags series.
Bible verse: 1 Corinthians 13:8If a person gives up easily, shuts communication down, and or has a history of failed relationships and nothing is ever this person’s fault—this is a red flag.
Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 13:7When one shows contempt in a relationship they lose the desire to protect the relationship and rather move to protect themselves. With that comes defensiveness, disrespect, and lack trusts. This is a red flag.
Bible Verses: 1 John 4:19; 1 Corinthians 13:6If you feel like you are walking around eggshells around the same person constantly, and instead of supporting where you’re going they are always bringing up where you’ve been. That’s a red flag! Criticism is one of the main things that can destroy a relationship.
Bible Verses: 1 Corinthians 13:4-5aPaul defines love as being patient, kind, un-boastful, and humble. One of the key red flags towards a toxic relationship is someone who is all about themselves and doesn’t take the time to see you in the relationship.
Bible verses: Matthew 6:19-34; Acts 20:35 Money wants to master us. How do we build resilience to its power in a culture of consumerism and envy? By realizing it isn’t ours and by giving it away! Generosity breaks the power of money over us. Be a generous person of the resources God has blessed you with and you will walk with an Abundance Mindset. [Matthew 6:24]
Bible verses:  Judges 13:2-5, 14:4, 16:23-30; Romans 8:28; Hebrews 11:32-33a God can use a person of faith despite their weaknesses and mistakes.God is not waiting for you to be perfect before he can use you.  He wants to perfect you through your willingness to be used.
Bible verses: 2 Timothy 4:11, Mark 14:51-52, Act 4:36; 15:41-46False starts and failures are tools that prepare us for service if we don't give up.Don't write yourself off when God has a future planned for you. Don't write anyone else off, you don’t know what God has planned for them.
In this interview with Dr. Eric Shadle, Centura Health, Denver Metro group VP of Mission Integration, pastor José asks what can the local church do with an organization like Centura Health to help improve the mental and emotional health of our community.
Bible Verses: Job 1:20-22: Proverbs 3:5-6Radical resilience is the ability to keep going despite ongoingadversity. Such strength is only possible when secured by trust in anunmovable source, specifically God.God can be trusted at all times, especially when it makes nosense to.  Commit to memory the Resilient Text of the Week and remindyourself that God is worthy of your trust whenever you feel temptedto doubt him.
Bible verse: Isaiah 9Christmas for so many is a time of incomparable joy, and for others, incomparable pain. It is a time when we get to be with family, friends, and all that is good. For that reason, it is a time when those who have lost those things feel the deepest pain. The story of Christmas reminds us that one day the King who broke through our world two millennia ago will return to bring about a world where the joys of the holidays will last forever, and the pains that it brings will be forever abolished. This Christmas, live out every day with the hope that one day we will forever live in Holiday Bliss with Jesus as our King and his government as our place of residence. This week, be that hope in the lives of those around us and around the world by giving to the Christmas offering!
Bible verses: Isaiah 9:6-7; Luke 4:14-22Christmas Changed the world.  Christmas offers us a glimpse of a new world & a new life. It introduces us to a world we've always thought possible yet remains unimaginable. Christmas gives us unyielding hope that life as we know it will not last forever and that better is coming. This week, invite family and friends to join you for Family & Friends Christmas next week & join us for our Christmas Eve experience.
