According to the Louis Armstrong International Airport, during the height of the storm, airport staff were conducting an inspection of its nearly 7-year-old pump station in the northwest corner of the property when they discovered three of four pumps kept stopping and starting, preventing individual pumps from operating for a period of time. The failure contributed to the flooding of nearly 200 homes in Kenner. Kevin Dolliole, Director of Aviation for the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, joins Newell to discuss it.
