CHARLESTON, S.C. — In federal court Wednesday, and acting as his own attorney, Dylann Roofspoke at length publicly for the first time since being convicted of murderous hate crimes over the 2015 deaths of nine black churchgoers in Charleston.
What do you see when you look at the below photo? Satan? A tree? A Rorschach inkblot? A dark harbinger of the almost certain doom awaiting 2017? In less leading terms, Facebookuser Richard Christianson put the question to his friends and followers Sunday. "What the hell do you see in this picture for reals??? Anybody," Christianson wrote alongside a pic of what looks like a hulking winged figure looming ominously over a poorly lit, pixelated street in Phoenix, Arizona.
Once deemed dead, it would appear that dabbing is making an uncomfortable comeback thanks to Tuesday's Congressional swearing-in ceremonies. After newly elected Rep.Roger Marshall (R-Kans.) was sworn in by House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), Marshall's sondabbed for cameraswhile posing for photos with his father and Ryan, sending the internet into a good old-fashioned round of millennial bashing and Ryan mocking. This kid just tried to dab in a picture with Paul Ryan.

Three-year-old Acen King was fatally shot Saturday in the backseat of his grandmother's car in Little Rock, Arkansas, a victim of an apparent road rage incident. A gunman reportedly opened fire on the car because King's grandmother "wasn't moving fast enough at a stop sign." Police are still searching for the gunman, who was described as a "tall African-American man" in an "older model black Chevrolet Impala," NBC News reported. Hayes will be sentenced on Feb. 17.
