Jesus didn’t just forgive your sin—He changed your access. In Part 7 of IN CHRIST, Pastor Jon Purkey continues through Ephesians 2 and unpacks what the cross actually accomplished.Jesus brought us peace with God, offers us the peace of God, broke down the walls that separated us, and created one new people in Christ. In this message, Pastor Jon addresses anxiety, spiritual authority, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, division in the Church, law versus grace, and the identity every believer now carries because of Jesus. The Law can show you what’s wrong, but it cannot make you clean. Jesus did what you could never do for yourself. And because of His blood, you no longer have to stand outside. You have access to the Father. You’ll hear:• Why supernatural peace isn't dependent on your circumstances• How carrying yesterday and worrying about tomorrow can overload your mind• Why your identity in Christ must be stronger than cultural or family identity• The difference between Law and grace• Why grace empowers holiness rather than excuses sin• How the cross destroyed the wall of hostility• Why there is only one door to the Father—Jesus• How to stop punishing yourself for what Christ already paid for• Why the Church needs every believer operating in their God-given gifts“We were outsiders. We were without Christ. We were without hope. But God intervened. The blood brought us near. The cross tore down the wall. Jesus made us one people. And now we have access to the Father. That’s the gospel.”If this message encouraged you, follow the Nexus Church Podcast, leave a rating, and share this episode with someone who needs to be reminded who they are IN CHRIST.Nexus ChurchSunday Service • 10 AMTuesday Prayer • 7 PMPopulate Heaven. Your identity isn’t found in what you did. It’s found in what Jesus shed.In In Christ Pt. 6, Pastor Jon Purkey continues through Ephesians 2:11–13 and the radical change that happens when someone who was once far from God is brought near through the blood of Jesus Christ.Paul tells the believers in Ephesus not to forget that they were once outsiders—not to produce shame, but gratitude. Because remembering what God brought you out of is one of the greatest defenses against pride and self-righteousness.Pastor Jon challenges us to examine the difference between outward religion and inward transformation. You can change your behavior without surrendering your heart. You can know how to look the part without ever experiencing the power of a life transformed by Jesus. This message is a call back to the Word, the Holy Spirit, discipleship, and the blood of Christ.Because Christ tells you who you are. The blood tells you how you got there. If you’ve been allowing your past, your mistakes, religion, or someone else’s label to define you, this message will remind you of what Jesus has already done.Scripture: Ephesians 2:11–13Thanks for listening to the Nexus Church Podcast. BUT GOD | IN CHRIST Part 5 — Ephesians 2:1–10You weren't just broken. You weren't just struggling. You were dead. And dead people don't need behavior modification. Dead people need resurrection. In Part 5 of IN CHRIST: A Study Through Ephesians, Pastor Jon Purkey walks through Ephesians 2:1–10 and the radical truth of the gospel: we were dead in our sin, enslaved to what we obeyed, and unable to save ourselves. Then two words change everything:BUT GOD.We were dead—but God.We were lost—but God.We were slaves to sin—but God.Because of His great love and rich mercy, God made us alive with Christ, raised us with Christ, and seated us with Christ. This isn't a message about trying harder to become a better Christian. It's about surrendering your strength, depending completely on Christ, and receiving what Jesus has already accomplished.Grace is what God provides. Faith is how we receive it.You are saved by grace through faith. You cannot take credit for it. Salvation is God's gift. And now you are His masterpiece. You weren't saved by good works. You were saved for good works.Maybe all you can see right now is the rough draft.God already sees the finished work.📖 Scripture: Ephesians 2:1–10🎙️ Speaker: Pastor Jon Purkey🔥 Series: IN CHRIST — A Study Through Ephesians⛪ Nexus Church | Kansas CityIf this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs to hear the gospel and remember what God’s grace can do.Give and help us continue spreading the gospel: nexuskc.com/giveJoin us for Prayer every Tuesday at 7 PM.Jesus saved my life. What if the answer isn't more advice—but wisdom and revelation from God?In this message from IN CHRIST: A Study Through Ephesians, Pastor Jon Purkey finishes Ephesians 1 and unpacks Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:15–23.Paul wasn't praying that believers would simply get more.He prayed that God would give them wisdom and revelation so the eyes of their hearts would be flooded with light—and they could finally recognize what God had already placed within their reach through Christ.Revelation allows you to see what was already there.Wisdom teaches you what to do with what you now see. This message challenges us to move from simply believing in Jesus to actively following Jesus—praying for people, walking in love, listening to the Holy Spirit, making disciples and carrying the Gospel beyond the walls of the church. You'll also discover why your present circumstances cannot cancel God's calling over your life and why believers don't have to beg God for power He has already made available through Christ. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in those who believe. You don't just need to know more. You need your eyes opened to who you already are and what you already carry IN CHRIST.Scripture: Ephesians 1:15–23, Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19Series: IN CHRIST — A Study Through EphesiansIf this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs it and continue the full IN CHRIST series.Nexus ChurchSunday Gathering — 10 AMTuesday Prayer — 7 PMGive and learn more at nexuskc.com/givePlunder Hell.
