Hello 大家好，今天给大家读一篇童话故事 （fairytale） 去年的树 一棵树和一只鸟儿是好朋友。鸟儿站在树枝上，天天给树唱歌。树呢，天天听着鸟儿唱。 日子一天天过去，寒冷的冬天就要来到了。鸟儿必须离开树，飞到很远很远的地方去。 树对鸟儿说：“再见了，小鸟！明年春天请你回来，还唱歌给我听。”鸟儿说：“好的，我明年春天一定回来，给你唱歌。请等着我吧！”鸟儿说完，就向南方飞去了。 春天又来了。原野上、森林里的雪都融化(melt)了。鸟儿又回到这里，找她的好朋友树来了。可是，树不见了，只剩下树根(tree root)留在那里。立在这儿的那棵树，到什么地方去了呀？”鸟儿问树根。树根回答：“伐木人(logger)用斧子(axe)把他砍倒，拉到山谷里去了。” 鸟儿向山谷里飞去。山谷里有个很大的工厂，锯木头的声音，“沙——沙——”地响着。鸟儿落在工厂的大门上。她问大门：“门先生，我的好朋友树在哪儿，您知道吗？” 大门回答说：“树嘛，在厂子里给切成细条条儿(cut into pieces)，做成火柴(match)，运到那边的村子里卖掉了。” 鸟儿向村子飞去。在一盏(measure word)煤油灯(kerosene lamp)旁，坐着个小女孩。鸟儿问女孩：“小姑娘，请告诉我，你知道火柴在那儿吗？”小女孩儿回答说：“火柴已经用光了。 可是，火柴点燃(ignite)的火，还在这盏灯里亮着。”鸟儿睁大眼睛，盯着灯火看了一会儿。接着，她就唱起去 年唱过的歌儿给灯火听。 唱完了歌，鸟儿又对着灯火看了一会儿，就飞走了。 这篇童话故事讲述了鸟和树之间的真挚情谊（true friendship）。 --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/clover-tao/support

猴子捞月 一群猴子在林子里玩耍，它们有的在树上蹦蹦跳跳，有的在地上打打闹闹，好不快活。它们中的一只小猴独自跑到林子旁边的一口井旁玩耍，它趴在井沿，往井里边一伸脖子，忽然大叫起来：“不得了啦，不得了啦!月亮掉到井里去了!”原来，小猴看到井里有个月亮。 一只大猴听到叫声，跑到井边朝井里一看，也吃了一惊，跟着大叫起来：“糟了，糟了，月亮掉到井里去啦!”它们的叫声惊动了猴群，老猴带着一大群猴子都朝井边跑来。当它们看到井里的月亮时，都一起惊叫起来：“哎呀完了，哎呀完了!月亮真的掉到井里去了!”猴子们叽叽喳喳地叫着、闹着。最后，老猴说：“大家别嚷嚷了，我们快想办法把月亮捞起来吧!”众猴都义不容辞地响应老猴的建议，加入捞月的队伍中。 井旁边有一棵老槐树，老猴率先跳到树上，自己头朝下倒挂在树上，其他的猴子就依次一个一个你抱我的腿，我勾你的头，挂成一长条，头朝下一直深入井中。小猴子体轻，挂在最下边，它的手伸到井水中，都可以抓住月亮了。众猴想，这下我们总可以把月亮捞上来了。它们很是高兴。 小猴子将手伸到井水中，对着明晃晃的月亮一把抓起，可是除了抓住几滴水珠外，怎么也抓不到月亮。小猴这样不停地抓呀、捞呀，折腾了老半天，依然捞不着月亮。 倒挂了半天的猴们觉得很累，都有点支持不住了。有的开始埋怨说：“快些捞呀，怎么还没捞起来呢?”有的叫着：“妈呀，我挂不住啦!挂不住啦!” 老猴子也渐渐腰酸腿疼，它猛一抬头，忽然发现月亮依然在天上，于是它大声说：“不用捞了，不用捞了，月亮还在天上呢!”众猴都抬头朝天上看，月亮果真好端端在天上呢。 由于众猴不了解井中月亮的真相，以假当真，所以空忙一气，又愚蠢又可笑。 这个故事告诉我们不要仅凭不切实际的幻想做事，遇事要多动脑，认真思考以及不要在虚幻的事情上投入过多，最后只会白费力气并且什么都得不到。 Notes: 义不容辞 be incumbent on, in duty bound 埋怨： complain 愚蠢：stupid 空忙一气： be busy with nothing --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/clover-tao/support
