Our guest Tim McManus of Hed Hi Studio joins the podcast to tell stories from the brightest walls in the city, surf life, tales from Charleston, and journey into sobriety. If you've been to an art show or one of our movie premieres at the studio then you've probably seen Tim running around keeping the lights on and snapping behind the scenes photos. We wanted to hear how an office turns into a canvas for artist from all over the world, photography, how to keep the surf plate spinning and uncover the guy behind it all.

In this episode we have an epic guest. None other than D.J. Struntz. As a surf photographer he pretty much touched the sun and has a catalog to prove it. From his years at Surfing Magazine and the wild adventures of the Globe surf films he has an incredible amount of surf history and insight. He gave us access to his portfolio to make the trailer for this episode. And I was blown away at the images I was working with. His title is a bit different now but his photography is still being put to the test. He explains how he got the title of minister of propaganda for North American Rescue and what it means to him. D.J. is as real as it gets.. he doesn’t hold back and that makes him the perfect guest. Thank you for all the incredible images over the years and the dedication to your craft. Where they build the most technologically advanced and badass poling skiffs ever built. If your into boats then they really need no introduction and If your not.. your about to wish you had one. Wilds gave us the tour of his facility, the process of how these boats are made, and a peak into his Drake X adventure truck that he also talks about how he built. We are truly fans so it was really cool to hear how this all came about. Enjoy! Use promo code Marsh20 for 20% off your order on marshwearclothing.com.

How many days do you surf a year? We sat down with our friend @grasshopper who spent all of 2023 documenting his time in the water, boards ridden, and wave types. As we start the new year we thought this was an interesting topic to uncover. We also chat about other highlights in Richard life.. like bucket list surf destinations and what he has going on right now.

On this episode we have Matt and Megan of Mountains to sea Costa Rica. A boutique fitness and wellness retreat center in mountains above Playa Dominical... But that’s not totally what this episode is about. We wanted to hear the hard truth of what it takes to uproot your life and move to another country. Building a successful business, selling that business to fund another dream, health scares and bouncing back from adversity all the while building eco luxury villas on 19 private acres in the lush jungle with breathtaking views. I would recommend checking out the surf and fitness retreat that our trainer Ryan Becknell is hosting there March 16-March 23. You can learn more at Mountainstoseacostarica.com
Todays Guest is Creighton Barrett. His instagram bio casually reads: band of horses drummer, art maker, husband and father of two. We were lucky enough to chat with Creighton and hear what an epic story this guy has. I love the band description on Spotify: to summarize it says: There might be no other band that was able to channel the generational anxiety in those early millennial years and turn it into such powerful and inclusive art quite like Band of Horses. Their songs have become anthems and touchstones for fans.
This fresh chapter finds the band recapturing the raw emotion and unpolished punk-rock spirit of its early days.
You can catch them on tour this winter performing acoustic and electric sets.
