The following is a conversation that will provoke and, perhaps, unsettle some of you. With my friend George Poulos, we explore the perils of anchoring your self-worth on personal achievements and how operating like this is ingrained in us from a young age. We also explore the deeper meaning of crisis and what it can teach you about life. Whether you agree with us or not, I promise this is gonna make you think.

The following is a conversation with moya mawhinney, a vlogger based in Paris. We discussed the challenges and magic of moving to and living in Paris amongst other things.
This was a different kind of podcast episode where we were having breakfast at the same time, it’s more of a “hang with us” kind of experience, I suggest grabbing something to drink or to do some visually creative project like painting or drawing while you listen.

The way we date has gone through a massive transformation in the 21st century. Beauty standards are being challenged. I discussed all of this and more with my friend Elena Taber, a YouTuber based in New York City. I thought we could have an interesting discussion about all of this considering she is considerably above average woman height and I am below the average height of a man.

This is a conversation with my dad where we discuss growing apart and the tensions that appeared in our relationship as I was becoming an adult, and how we’ve overcome those tensions to become close again.
My hope, in sharing this conversation, is to show that there is a better, more emotionally intelligent way for men to communicate with each other. It’s not easy, but it can lead to much deeper, more meaningful relationships.
I hope you enjoy.

I’m very competitive. I always have been, and it troubles me because it sometimes leads me to act in a way that doesn’t align with what I know to be good for me. My competitive side can push me to overcommit in the short term and exhaust myself in the long term. It can also take me away from the joy I feel in doing things at my own pace and in my own way.
Training for a marathon is opening my eyes to this side of myself, and leading to a few realizations that I wanted to share with you.

This became a bit of a philosophical conversation about art and creativity, age and comparison with other artists, the value of working slowly, how to know when to stop and what you learn when you make things.
