The word "culture" is buzzing around in our society today.  Culture defined is an informal system by which societies organize. In this episode, Dr. David and Yasmin address how culture has played out in the Bible during the Old and New Testaments.  God used culture in the Old Testament to help insulate His chosen people, to set them apart for His service, and from the evil people surrounding them.  In the New Testament, in the Book of Acts, once salvation was made available for all, we see God pulling back the walls of separation created by culture to bring people together into one body of believers.  He removed the division between Jews and Gentiles and other ethnicities, people who were sick and disabled, and rich and poor...all these divisions had been supported by cultural standards. Culture can create an environment where people will see symbols that convey different meanings to them based on their own cultural views.  These views often conflict. God has called His Church to be one family with no divisions.
Dr. David and Yasmin discuss Apostle Paul’s teaching to Timothy about approving himself through the study of God’s word. They share several important points critical to the ministry of the Word of God found in these scripture verses. Please answer the poll questions. We’d love to hear from you.

What Elisha did to help was indeed a miracle.
