Description
Isolation is something many of us experience over the course of our lives. In fact, at this point, our culture and communities seem to be arranged to encourage isolation rather than connection. Bea and Stephanie discuss Bea's struggle with isolation and her desire for authentic relationships. Using Bea as a case study, we go back to her childhood to understand the building blocks that created the fertile ground for isolation to take hold. As we go along, the objective is to identify commonalities with others who experience isolation, both to heal it and to prevent it in the first place.

In this episode, Bea reports back on her assignment which was to reach out to a friend with whom she had a disconnect. We also discuss what we mean by "Circles" or "Energetic Units". How they form and what their function is.

As she emerges from isolation, Bea is prioritizing developing connections in which she feels seen. In this episode, we explore more what 'being seen' means, what it feels like and what happens when we feel mis-seen.
Bea and Stephanie explore the difference between relating identity to identity rather than energy to energy. If all of one's relationships are identity-based, that can deepen one's sense of isolation. It is in energetic interactions that we have an opportunity to see and be seen, thereby strengthening the energetic units, or circles, to which we belong.
In this episode, we explore the period of isolation that Bea experienced. We start with the events immediately preceding and leading up to this period, and then we explore narratives that cement the separation and aloneness which are likely common to anyone in isolation: betrayal, guilt, and resentment. We conclude by exploring what makes it so difficult to leave isolation.

This episode we discuss the concept of isolation as the inability to share or have a shared narrative, emphasizing that a sense of belonging in a social circle comes from feeling seen, safe, and having a role with a shared objective. We highlight the significance of narratives in shaping our lives and identities, derived from lived experiences and learned behaviors.
Narratives aren't trivial; they structure our lives and influence our actions, defining our social roles and identities. Not sharing a narrative or accepting projections from others can lead to a loss of identity and pathological interactions.
Bea shares some of her personal experiences, like feeling failed by a family circle due to cultural expectations and misunderstanding, ultimately leading to a lack of self-narrative. We explore the impact of accepting or losing narratives on relationships and isolation.

In this episode, we explore how being denied one’s basic energetic needs can lead to pathological energetic conditions like isolation. We break down the dynamics in Bea’s childhood to explore how not feeling seen, feeling safe, and having a role leads to dysfunctional narratives and patterns to compensate. While her older sister reacted with an energy that correctly demanded to feel seen, Bea gravitated to an energy of safety, even if that meant suppression of her true self.
This was compounded by gender issues that went unaddressed, fixing an energetic pattern that would have Bea always showing up as an accepting energy. We will explore the ways in which energies show up to an interaction – as leading, accepting, or equal energies – and their implications.
