Julia and Caroline may already be back from Amsterdam, but this episode is a throwback to our pre-trip curiosities. Apologies for confusing Dutch sex shows with Thai ones. Very different value propositions.
This episode is all about IDOLS: Who inspires us? Is it better to stalk them, or hold them at arms’ length? And how do we reconcile this movement of self care and acceptance in these increasingly superficial, visually driven times?
We also talk about our job history. Shoutout to anyone who’s ever signed our paycheques.

Episode 26: There's Nothing Like a Big Nipple to Repel Me by Julia Chan & Caroline Leung
Episode 17: Pecs in Morocco (ft. Will Jivcoff) by Julia Chan & Caroline Leung
Greetings! Have you ever wondered what it’s like to drink wine with us on a rainy July evening? Look no further than this episode.
We discuss GIRLS TRIP, the blockbuster that inspired us to have a wild night of our own—and features a grapefruit-aided blow job trick that we are both debunking and endorsing. We also talk about HERPES and how to properly ask the new guy/girl you’re fucking for a doctor’s note before (ahem) diving in. Oh, and our dream podcast guests.
WRITE TO US with your relationship questions at notnicepodcast@gmail.com! Love you, stay dry, goodbye.
This week we’re back with a conversation between we, ourselves, and us. We talk mainly about Friends, taking extra care to shit all over Ross’ character.
We also [informally] discuss the economics behind tipping in restaurants, and how wait staff tend to think Julia is a c-word because she never smiles... among other things. Enjoy!
Episode 23: White Man Walking Part 2 (ft. Lance Stewart) by Julia Chan & Caroline Leung
HELLO! Julia and Caroline are back this week with both deep thoughts and shallow observations. ‘Cause we’re multifaceted individuals with a lot of feelings. (Aren’t we all.)
If you haven’t seen GET OUT, we recommend you skip the first half of this episode. Spoilers aplenty. But if you’ve seen it, we talk about Alison Williams’ casting, meeting significant others’ parents, and the various Easter eggs you’ll find upon a second viewing. We also discuss ASTROLOGY. Was March the kinky month it was supposed to be for Geminis? Did this Sagittarius work as much as her horoscope predicted? Do we take this shit too seriously? Maybe.
Happy nearly spring, stay warm for the time being, and for the love of god, do not break out those shorts until it hits 15C. We love you.
Before we begin: Okay. The Patriots won. Enough with the shitty analogies to the election.
THIS WEEK, Julia and Caroline get nostalgic. We talk about favourite childhood movies and why Aladdin is the best Disney prince. We also discuss the Women's March and how tech and public policy could both benefit from the modern protest.
This week on Not Nice we talk about being special Asian snowflakes, a world where:
•You have great hair, but no eyebrows
•You must always explain why your English is so good
•Everyone seems to already know what sex with you is like, regardless of whether or not they’ve actually fucked you
Additionally, we discuss hypocrisy in the appropriation debate, why the artifice of Asian beauty is so goddamn intriguing, and OTHER THINGZ.
It’s inauguration day. Give us a break. TGIF, and see you all in the resistance.
New year, new season, new... EPISODE! Oh, and new mics. We both have mics now. Can you hear us? Because we sure heard you on the volume of our voices. Thank you. No, really.
Julia and Caroline talk about their New Year's eves, provide an opinion on New Year's resolutions (like everyone, we think they're dumb, but made them anyway), and MARIAH.
To hopefully signify better things for 2017, we end the episode on a high note. Because while 2016 was terrible for us collectively, there were several personal highlights for both of us. Including this podcast.
P.S. A shoutout for anyone who can name the James Bond movie we clip-dropped. Who knew Mr. Bond was such a fan of AZN delicacies?

Sweet November - SZA
We’re back this week with a BUFFET of ~content~. There is admittedly nothing cohesive about this episode, but like dinner at the Mandarin, that’s the most delightful part.
Julia and Caroline answer a few of their favourite r/AskReddits, discuss #pizzagate, and reenact Tom Ford’s infamous GQ interview. You know, the one where he says to understand women, all men should be fucked. Do we agree? Listen to find out.
This week we’re featuring a guest from the most misunderstood, antagonized, and helplessly confused demographic of all — the white male!
JK. Our friend Lance Stewart is indeed a white man, but as a sociologist, wokeness is a professional responsibility. In the first half of this two-parter, we talk about the ethics of online piracy, HBO’s slow descent into obsoleteness, and what your TA is really thinking when you don’t show up to class.
Bless you all for listening. Don’t forget to subscribe + leave reviews. Even if you hate us. We love combative criticism.
Here we go. In Trump’s America.
Was the the media’s thirst? Maybe.
Was it the futile fantastical fallacy that is the American I-Am-An-Exceptionalist Dream? Absolutely.
Was it because America hates women? *laughs maniacally*
We are sad and angry, but we try to unpack how this could have happened.
It’s our first female guest! This episode we welcome our wise and beautiful friend Rachelle Esguerra to go deep. (That’s what she said.)
Because it’s peak cuffing season, we promise many useful takeaways regarding dating — from the proper way to sext, to the differences between dating men vs. dating women, to the very real discomfort of female jealousy.

We're back this week with a mini episode about... censorship? Being yourself? The shameless airing of dirty laundry? Being emotional harlots?
Whatever position you have on how freely we should express ourselves online, we hope you enjoy.
It’s late October and we’re officially into the holiday season — aka a time of extreme money-spending and sartorial extravagance.
In the spirit of C.R.E.A.M., Julia dives into her sugar mommy past and Caroline comes to terms with being a spoiled brat. We also talk about the ethics of fashion, femininity, and fartfaces who can’t reconcile a woman’s right to dress as she pleases with her right to… you know, use her brain.

This week is all about mental health. We talk about our respective ~journeys~ in overcoming depression, eating disorders and drug abuse.... which to be honest is still ongoing. We also reminisce about the emo wave that represented a sort of informal constitution for the socially rejected and sad youth of the early 2000s.

We are back on our regular podcasting schedule - sorry for the hiatus. This week we have our dear friend Jordan Clarke on to discuss his past year of travel through Southeast Asia and Europe, which he did alongside his girlfriend Amie.
Jordan is a super neat guy; he's originally from Victoria, B.C., and has since found his roots in both Vancouver in Toronto. We were lucky to catch him on his last night in the city—sadly, Jordan is abandoning us for scenic Vancouver (we don't entirely blame him).

We have a new guest: our new microphone! It was our first time using it so the sound is slightly inconsistent/weak in some instances… we took for granted that it could pick up our voices from far-ish away.
