We've reached the finale of our first season of "Not Over It," but before we head out for a long winter's nap, we're leaving you with our thoughts on Kanye West's latest antics, the Super Bowl, and our bets and predictions for the Oscars — now with an all-woman lineup of hosts! Plus, we get into upcoming topics we won't get to share with you in real time, like how Robert Pattinson will fare in the batsuit and whether "Bridgerton" can survive without Regé-Jean Page. We'll be back in April for season two! Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Learn more about your ad choices. Winter TV could be the new fall TV, and we're getting whiplash trying to figure out how to watch it all and play couch judge for the Olympics. To help you determine what to watch and what to skip, we're sharing our favorite new shows on this week's episode of "Not Over It." Then, we're breaking down the many "based on a true story" series coming your way, from the scripted shows like "Pam & Tommy" and "Inventing Anna" to Janet Jackson's docuseries. January brought us a few gifts, like the widespread craze of Wordle, the "Encanto" soundtrack, and the confirmation that Tom Brady won't be in contention for another Super Bowl ring. But there was plenty of controversy, too, like Britney Spears's very public fight with her sister, Kanye West flaunting his new relationship with Julia Fox everywhere, and Taylor Swift needing to defend herself and her music yet again. On this week's episode, we're breaking it all down, plus the rest of January's head-scratching and heartwarming headlines. Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. TV revivals and reboots are all the rage these days, and there doesn’t seem to be any sign of slowing down. In the past month, we’ve heard about The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Life Goes On, and Degrassi coming back to TV in some iteration, not to mention the premiere of How I Met Your Father. We’re breaking down the different ways Hollywood has capitalized on our TV nostalgia — by bringing back beloved characters only to kill them off; rebooting a series, then making it feel stale; or simply wearing out storylines that were never meant to go on forever. We also get into which TV reboots were actually successful, the ones that broke our hearts, and the series we had no choice but to hate-watch. Award season kicked off with the faintest of whispers, with this year's Golden Globe winners announced without celebrities, a televised show, and any real fanfare due to a Hollywood boycott that started last year. Meanwhile, other upcoming shows like the Grammys were rescheduled or postponed due to the pandemic, adding to the overall mess and confusion about what award season will look like this year. To help make sense of it all, we're giving the rundown on what happened with the Globes, the underlying controversy surrounding the Grammys, and our predictions for what's to come for the rest of award season. Euphoria made quite the impact when it first hit HBO back in 2019, earning critical acclaim (including an Emmy for Zendaya) and raising the eyebrows of viewers everywhere. The series recently returned after a hiatus of over two years, wasting no time throwing us back into the extremely stressful lives of the students at East Highland High School. In this week’s episode of Not Over It, we’re recapping all the things we had forgotten about season two, giving our reactions to the season-two premiere, and making predictions for the upcoming episodes (which hopefully include more Lexi and Fezco). 2021 was not the best year, but it wasn't without a few memorable moments — for better or for worse. In this week's episode, we revisit some of our favorite things that happened and the highlights among what we discovered, watched, and discussed. But no recap would be complete without a look back at some of the wilder (and more cringe-y) moments as well, along with a few of the most bonkers headlines and stories we'll still be thinking about well into the new year. Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Cue the iconic theme music, because this week's episode is all about Succession. The third season recently came to an end, leaving us with a lot to talk about — and speculate on — until we're reunited with the Roy family in season 4. We're breaking it all down — the highs and lows of the season, Tom's slow burn into betrayal, and of course, Kendall's insane birthday bash. The first episodes of Sex and the City's reboot, And Just Like That..., were released last week, and we haven't gotten this many angry texts about a TV show since the Game of Thrones finale. We're unpacking it all in this week's episode, from the way they wrote off our beloved Samantha to the shoehorned-in "woke" moments to the shocking death everyone is still talking about. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, which means Mariah Carey has a new holiday special, Kelly Clarkson has a new festive album, and there are approximately 200 new movies set at the North Pole to watch. It's impossible to sift through it all, but on this week's episode, we're previewing some of the latest holiday offerings that actually seem worth watching (and the ones that don't), plus revealing our favorite underrated Christmas movies and figuring out which celebrity products would make the best and worst gifts for our friends. Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. November was a big month for music: Adele released her long-anticipated album, 30, and showed off her circle of celebrity friends in concert; Taylor Swift had the entire world buzzing about her rumored relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal thanks to the release of Red (Taylor's Version); and JAY-Z earned himself a much-deserved spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And that's just the tip of the iceberg — in this week's episode, we're recapping all of the biggest headlines of the month, complete with an update on Cardi B's latest celebrity BFF and a check-in on what exactly is happening with Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian. Thanksgiving is almost here, and after the big feast, the real consumption begins with a long weekend of straight binge-watching (and putting up a Christmas tree, if that's your thing). Because sifting through endless options on endless platforms can cause full-on family fights, we've done the work for you. On this week's episode of Not Over It, we've narrowed down a few key recommendations for movies and TV series to stream, no matter who you're with. Eternals, Marvel's much-anticipated latest film, started receiving negative buzz before it hit theaters, due to mixed reviews that earned the dreaded splat on Rotten Tomatoes. But does Eternals really deserve the title of "worst-reviewed" MCU movie? In this week's episode, we break down why the movie is getting flak, and give our own thoughts on the film and why it's actually an exciting entry into the Marvel universe. Before we say goodbye to spooky season and hello to holiday season, we're breaking down some of the biggest things that happened in October on this week's episode. We scratched our heads when Ryan Gosling signed on to play Ken (yes, the doll) and were strangely endeared to Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's couples quiz. We certainly didn't expect Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik's relationship to take such a messy turn or for a pug to take over our TikTok feeds and our hearts. Plus, our favorite TV shows from the month and Zareen's review of (the first 25 minutes of) Dune! Dave Chappelle's sixth (and allegedly last) Netflix comedy special, The Closer, started generating backlash almost immediately upon its release. The special drew criticism for Chappelle's jokes that take aim at the LGBTQ+ community, particularly transgender people, leading to protest from some of Netflix's own employees. In this week's episode, we're discussing the controversy as well as Chappelle's comments on cancel culture. The HBO Max documentary What Happened, Brittany Murphy? revisits the life, career, and tragic death of the star, who passed away in 2009 at just 32 years old. While the two-part doc doesn’t answer many questions about the strange circumstances surrounding Brittany Murphy’s death (and her husband’s involvement), it serves as yet another reminder of how poorly women have been treated by the media — especially during the ’90s and early 2000s. In this week’s episode of Not Over It, we’re discussing the documentary, why Brittany Murphy deserved better, and the painful parallels we’ve seen in other famous women of her era — and now. We've all been there: you open up TikTok for a quick fix, and suddenly, three hours have gone by. During the pandemic, we let ourselves spend even more time in the TikTok rabbit hole as a means to escape into a world of silly dances, controversial recipes, and general distraction. But what is it about TikTok that makes it seem even more addicting than other social media distractions (besides that magical algorithm)? And are our attention spans going to be broken forever? In this week's episode, we speak with Dr. Julie M. Albright, who specializes in the psychology of interactive media, to ask her all of our questions about what makes TikTok so hard to look away from and whether it's rotting our brains. We're so excited about Succession finally coming back after a two year hiatus that we had to do an episode to celebrate. The Roys aren't the only ones who are about to return to TV, though. Get ready for more of Joe Goldberg's stalking on You, Larry David navigating the pandemic on Curb Your Enthusiasm, and saying goodbye to Issa and her friends on Insecure's final season. Plus, we make our picks for the most promising new shows of the fall. Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. September was so full of new TV shows, red carpet fashion, and bizarre headlines that we could barely squeeze it all into one episode. This week, we're digging through some of the biggest moments of the month, like John Mulaney's eyebrow-raising interview with Seth Meyers, the latest on Britney Spears's conservatorship (and the many documentaries about it), and of course, Zareen's take on Drake's long-anticipated new album, Certified Lover Boy. In this week's episode, we're talking all things Emmys! We've finally returned from the depths of virtual award season, and the casts of Ted Lasso, The Crown, and The Queen's Gambit really reaped the benefits. We're breaking down the biggest winners of the night, the frustrating snubs, and the lack of diversity, as well as some of our favorite moments and speeches. Stay tuned at the end of this episode for a special segment featuring POPSUGAR's Executive Style Director Dana Avidan Cohn on how to get red carpet looks at home with the help of Clinique. Two years ago my husband and I decided to get right with the MCU and we watched every single movie, in order, over the course of a year. I'm so glad we did because they make so much better sense when viewed thru a lense of active intent. Now we're mid-Loki and ready for the next phase!

I honestly thought Ben Affleck was getting back together with Jennifer Garner, which I thought was sweet. I'm kinda bummed it's JLo. Not like, SUPER bummed, because I don't quite care enough to work up that much enthusiasm one way or the other. But just like, huh, bummer, oh well, anyways...
