MedNet21 is an on-line CME Webcast produced by the Center for Continuing Medical Education at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Our focus is to address professional practice gaps and issues important to primary care physicians. This is a podcast version of our webcast series produced through our MedNet21 CME series. Each year we provide 40 weekly CME webcasts for our 10 month season, and programs are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the world. You can watch MedNet21 webcasts on-line to get CME credit or MOC points today. Each post-test costs $25 for those that would like to earn CME credit or MOC points. You can also become a hospital subscriber to give physicians at your hospital an opportunity to earn CME credit for free. This program will discuss Sideline Sports Injuries.  This presentation covers several common musculoskeletal injuries experienced by athletes. Learners will gain an understanding of the most common shoulder, knee, and ankle injuries and conditions encountered by team physicians on the sidelines during sporting events. This program will cover a biopsychosocial approach to chronic back pain. The first presenter will discuss multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary treatment approaches to chronic low back pain. She will then discuss some of the common medications used for treatment. This program will discuss Breast Cancer Therapies.  In the first half of the presentation, the presenter will review the incidence, risk factors, & treatments associated with breast cancer. Then the presenter will focus on systemic therapies such as endocrine therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapies and immunotherapies for breast cancer. This program will discuss Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. This presentation will first discuss the approach and diagnosis to lymphocytosis. It will use case presentations to highlight the presentation and evaluation of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The presenter will also review complications and health maintenance implications for CLL. The second half of the talk will discuss staging and risk stratification. This program will discuss Pulmonary Function Testing & Office Based Spirometry. In the first half of the program, learners will gain an understanding of the key updates in the 2022 ATS/ERS pulmonary function test (PFT) guidelines. We will discuss how these revisions differ from the 2005 standards in areas such as test interpretation, reference values, and diagnostic criteria. In the second half viewers should expect to learn key updates in PFT interpretation, including the impact of the new reference standards and revised criteria for classifying severity of impairments and bronchodilator responsiveness. Learners will also appreciate common physiologic impairments on PFTs and develop an approach to interpreting PFTs. Link to transcript
