Hargeysa International Book Fair ft. Ismaaciil Ubax

Salam all, its Marian! I know it's been a heck of a while since we last uploaded, please don't drag us to hard. This summer I had the pleasure of going back home to Somaliland for the first time. One of the biggest reasons I went back home was not just to see family, but as well attend the 12th annual Hargeysa International Book fair. As I attended the book fair, I met Ismaaciil Ubax, a Swedish-Somalilander who is not just the project manger at the Hargeysa cultural centre, but as well an author of 4 books and the Founder of BookLand, the first online Book store in Somaliland. In this episode we discuss everything from the Hargeysa Cultural Centre, Ismaaciil as an author, literacy in Somaliland as well as the Book fair. You can connect with Ismaacil on Instagram: @ismaiology , twitter @ismaaciilubax, https://ismaaciilubax.com/ Lastly you can can find his online book store at https://booklandstore.com If you have any questions and or concerns don't forget to reach out to us on twitter and or instagram @Oteapodcast.
