Amber Abila helps women stop binge eating and overeating by rewiring their brains so they can finally feel normal and in control around any food. Over 3% of the US population struggles with binge eating and so many more do so in silence. For years, Amber struggled with her own relationship with food, trying everything from therapy and calorie counting to weight loss coaching. Nothing seemed to work until she discovered, through coaching and psychology, that there was nothing “wrong” with her at all — she simply needed practical brain tools to break free from the cycle.By learning how her unconscious brain was driving habitual eating patterns, Amber began making dramatic shifts in her habits and her life. Now she shares those same evidence‑based tools with others, showing women that freedom from food obsession is possible and that lasting change doesn’t come from more discipline or stricter diets, but from understanding and retraining the brain. In this episode, Amber opens up about her journey, the science behind binge eating, and the strategies that helped her reclaim peace with food. Her mission is clear: to ensure no one feels as alone or broken as she once did, and to empower women everywhere to step into confidence, resilience, and joy in their everyday lives.Amber's Sites:Website: https://theconfidenteater.org/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/amber.abila.77Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theconfidenteater_ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@amberabilaPodcast: Become a Confident Eater: Overcome Overeating, Establish Healthy Eating Habits https://theconfidenteater.org/podcastOTR Sites:Podcast Website: https://bobadleman.wixsite.com/otrmentalhealthReal Plus Community Ko-Fi.com/otrachieving Mail: OvertheRainbowbob@gmail.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/otrachievingmentalhealhfrInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/over_the_rainbow_achieving X: https://twitter.com/overtherain1bowYouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChEYTddPDUaiZbFliit1r5QLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/robert-adleman/This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podder - https://www.podderapp.com/privacy-policyPodtrac - https://analytics.podtrac.com/privacy-policy-gdrp

Amy Vincze struggled with PTSD from childhood trauma in her family growing up. Her father was an alcoholic who left home when she was just four. This led to her PTSD later in life as she felt her father’s abandonment must be because there was something wrong with her. This led to anxiety, and depression and she believes led to her cancer at just 31.Amy was always fascinated by the complexities of human behavior and driven to uncover the motivations behind people’s actions. This led her to navigate her own struggles. She finally came across Tapping—a transformative tool that not only helped her manage her symptoms but also allowed her to address and release the root causes of her suffering. Through tapping, she unlocked a profound secret: true healing isn’t about masking symptoms; it’s about resolving the patterns that create them.Amy goes over in detail how to use this technique which can make a major difference to someone with PTSD or other mental health conditions.Just a friendly warning, It may be safer to try this with a councilor since stirring up painful events may become an issue if practiced alone.Bloopers can now be accessed anonymously though the podcast's Website https://bobadleman.wixsite.com/otrmentalhealth . This episode is packed with goodies as we get down to it with our guest Estefana Johnson who shocked me when i asked her to describe herself. She noted that she was "Just a Person" and didn't read off a list of her many accomplishments. We talked about how you should live as your authentic self and never mask and be your real self. Later we got into how Estefana is leading the launch of Critical Memory Integration (CMI™), a groundbreaking therapeutic model that dares to ask: What if talk therapy isn’t enough?Estefana Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and experienced trauma therapist with over two decades of experience in mental health. She began her career in 2001 as a Behavioral Health Technician, briefly stepping away in 2005 to teach in Japan. Her diverse background spans multiple roles and settings, including residential treatment for at-risk youth and medical social work. CMI is turning heads in the mental health world by challenging the long-held belief that trauma can simply be desensitized or cognitively reframed. Instead, it dives beneath the surface, helping clients uncover and rewrite the unconscious survival strategies still dictating their lives long after the trauma has passed. She is currently a Dosing Session Monitor at Lighthouse Psychiatry and TMS in Gilbert, Arizona, contributing both to clinical care and research trials exploring the therapeutic use of psychedelics.Real Plus - Before the Show Bob has more detail and how to proceed with the Real Plus OTR Community site. This is a special episode explaining in detail the new changes coming up for OTR, if you want them. We are implementing a community forum and a quarterly blog for all in Real Plus. This is being done for three reasons. First to develop a community around healing from any Mental health condition and thriving. I think it’s important as we grow together to achieve Mental Health for Real. Secondly, to get direct input through a community forum and suggestion box that will make the show what the listener wants. And lastly to grow the show so we can increase our reach and implement better quality sound with just a little revenue. This will put us in a position to reach more people and book any guest we feel will help us. To do this I am implementing a Premium Package as part of Real Plus. The premium Package will have everything in basic Real Plus but so much more as described below and detailed in this short episode. Real Plus Premium – Subscribed AccessUnlock exclusive content, including early access to episodes Annotated Transcripts – not just what we said, but why it mattered. The “Unpolished” Feed – outtakes, false starts, and the moments we almost cut. Produced twice a year Monthly Dispatch – one email, no marketing, just what we’re building, breaking, and rethinking Verified/co-authored Badge – not for clout, just a quiet nod that you are co-authors Suggestion Box (with Teeth) – you pitch it, we respond. If it’s good, we build it. If it’s off, we say why Yearly Dividend – 5% of total earnings redistributed equally to listeners at year-end - So, this gives the advantage to the early subscribers, since the price will never go up no matter what extras we put in. So, if we raise the price over the years your actual value back rises from 5 percent and there is no cap. If the show some how goes viral, you will make more money than you pay for subscription. Potentially much more. . Refunds for dividends -If canceled mid-year, refund begins at end of the month -Refund is prorated based on the yearly rate - Any payment method is eligible -Credit card, Zelle, or other agreed-upon methodCancel Button will be clear and on the first screen. 2 click cancelI am thinking about a co-host for the 2026 season. I will keep you informed. Also, you may have noticed the logo has been changed in Facebook, Instagram and X. The Logo will officially change everywhere on November 1, 2025. Hopefully along with Real Plus. Which changes everything. The implementation of Real plus depends on you. I will have a post on Facebook, Instagram, and X. Please indicate your interest in the program tiers. Please "Like" the post, if you’re in for implementing Real Plus on November 1, Please "Love" or other than like the post, if you’re in for the Premium Package in Real Plus.Or send an email to Overtherainbowbob@gmail.com with the subject "Like" or "Love" and please indicate if you want to receive status updates of the project if we have 5 likes for Real Plus and/or 5 "Loves" for the Premium Package one or both It will be implemented For November 1 sign up and benefits. So the future of OTR is up to you. Join me in my interview with Dr. Kristen Williamson—licensed professional counselor, neurodivergent advocate, and proud ringleader of a “neurospicy” family. Her life is a whirlwind of late-night epiphanies, busting mental health myths, and finding joy in the chaos of navigating autism, ADHD, and parenting kids who keep her on her toes. Can it be true? Dyslexic and ADHDer David Chalk claims it's the real deal and I believe him. He is giving his Beta program away free if you sign up, at ReadingRoad.ai.David was on the documentary "The Truth About Reading" (streaming on TUBI) where he was taught how to read faster and comprehend more. I dare Dyslectics to watch this documentary without crying. He went from reading 1 book a year to reading easily 20 books a month. Listen to David's miraculous story about becoming a commercial airline pilot after being bullied in school and being told he would amount to nothing and wind up in jail or the streets. David credits his mother who taught him to always keep trying and have faith in yourself.Chalk has been involved in the technology industry for over 25 years, from being a commercial pilot to working in technology industries. His background began with video streaming during the early days of the internet. He developed the video engine for Yahoo! 1999, which generated $60m in capital. He created Canada’s technology magazine, Computer Buyer Magazine in 1983. In 1996, he established one of the longest-running technology shows in Canada ("Dave Chalk's Computer Show"). Chalk founded many companies including Doppler Computer Superstores, Chalk Media, Trees Matter, New Century Video Streaming, and CalmWear™ Compression Clothing for Autism and most recently he helps create Mentorship programs within organizations. This Podcast is not for profit, there are zero commercials and never will be. The website does not need your credit card. But you do need to hurry, because i believe he is limiting the beta test group at ReadingRoad.ai . You need a name and email address to receive the free Beta program. This is not an infomercial, and I AM NOT receiving anything but the satisfaction of alleviating needless suffering that I went through.David Chalk's sites:Website - readingroad.ai - Sign up for free Beta version of Readingroad AI applicationDavid Chalk's wiki site: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Chalk_(entrepreneur)The Truth About Reading — full documentary - screening linkhttps://vimeo.com/860490581/10293b81d2?share=copyConversations That Matter - Youtubehttps://youtu.be/Gz1DPkoPlLw?si=3fCvmJAIrtxGBPwSLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/davidchalkmentoring/?originalSubdomain=caFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/davidianchalkInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/askdavidchalkOTR sites:Podcast Website: https://bobadleman.wixsite.com/otrmentalhealthMail:          OvertheRainbowbob@gmail.comFacebook: a...
Join me as I talk with Dr. Fredric Schiffer about his new book. Goodbye Anxiety, Depression, Addiction & PTSD: The Life-Changing Science of Dual-Brain Psychology. Dr. Fredric Schiffer is a sought-after public speaker, best-selling author, psychiatrist and part-time assistant professor at Harvard.Dr. Schiffer has a wealth of experience in psychiatry. He has been studying the relationship between past traumas, cerebral laterality, depression and anxiety. He has tremendous knowledge of Dual-Brain Psychology techniques.Through his groundbreaking work as founder of the Dual-Brain Psychology Institute, he discovered that the brain is made up of two minds which are competing for dominance. When the immature and troubled half of the brain is treated, Dual-Brain Psychology techniques can successfully curb anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction, and improve psychological wellbeing. The doctor believes that many mental issues originate from early traumas and very often it’s trauma that has not been recognized. Dr. Schiffer has discovered a technique to treat the troubled mind using something as unlikely as a piece of junk mail. This new book details the innovative new procedure to relieve the symptoms of these major mental issues. We go over the main points of the technique in this episode. This is a important episode. Khushboo Chabria and I have a discussion on the inclusion of Neurodivergents in society, especially in the workplace and education. She is coauthor of the book "Neurodiversity for Dummies" and wrote the entire chapter on ADHD.Through her work with Neurodiversity Pathways at Goodwill of Silicon Valley, Khushboo isn't just opening doors; she's transforming entire workplace cultures, building bridges between neurodivergent talent and meaningful careers. Drawing from her background as a therapist, her leadership expertise, and her own journey with ADHD, Khushboo brings an authentic, multi-faceted perspective to neurodiversity advocacy.Khushboo Site'sFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/khushnessX(Twitter): https://x.com/khushnessYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@khushness1Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/khushnessLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/khushboochabria/OTR sites:Podcast Website: https://bobadleman.wixsite.com/otrmentalhealthMail:          OvertheRainbowbob@gmail.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/otrachievingmentalhealhfrInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/over_the_rainbow_achieving  Twitter:     https://twitter.com/overtherain1bownYouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChEYTddPDUaiZbFliit1r5QThis podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podder - https://www.podderapp.com/privacy-policyPodtrac - https://analytics.podtrac.com/privacy-policy-gdrp
Today’s guest is Helen Sernett, host of the podcast Sleep lists. She is a Sleep and Wellness Enthusiast. Her podcast reads a list of items usually in numerical, chronological, or alphabetical order that are all part of the same category. Simple but effective and she hopes no one gets to the end of the show. If you’re still awake at the end , she suggests some ideas for drifting off to sleep. Helen suggests stringing a few episodes together if you need a little more time to drift off to dreamland. Six episodes per season, each season is published quarterly. There are also special holiday episodes. We discuss alternatives to traditional sleep time for people not on a set schedule like work at home, flex work schedules, college students and retirees. How napping during the day may help. Good sleeping habits are essential to Mental Health and Helen’s podcast may be just the help you need to fall asleep. It’s better than sleep aid medicine.
