In this "theory and practice" episode, Sarah and Helen read a text about bigotry, then apply it to some actual bigotry. The philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre turns out to have a lot to say about 4chan, the notorious Nazi news site the Daily Stormer, and the affect of the modern right as a whole.
Helen introduces Sarah to a classic British racist, and the two of them learn that time is a flat circle.
Sarah gives Helen a lesson in Ancient Roman history and the two of them learn that some ideas, like "women be shopping" and "women be a foreign invasion that must be subjugated at all costs" have surprisingly deep roots.
Helen walks Sarah through the works of frontier doctor and dispenser of folksy wisdom, Joseph H. Peck, MD, whose writing is best described as "Mark Twain if he sucked."
Our first episode! Just in time for Charlie Kirk remembrance day eve!
Sarah introduces Helen to obscure Canadian luminary Stephen Leacock, and we learn all about how and why women aren't funny.
At some point we mention using the famous "triggered feminist" reaction image for our episode art, but we decided against it. If you didn't recognize it from our description, it's this one: https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/1872961-triggered-feminist--2
