Description
A look into the lives of professional IndyCar drivers, reality television stars, and best friends James Hinchcliffe and Alexander Rossi. Though Hinch and Rossi have seen plenty of success on the track, the show is meant to highlight their off-the-track lives, including their unfiltered opinions on what’s trending in popular culture. Off Track is at its heart a sports show, but Hinch and Rossi are well-versed in popular culture and have experience relating to influential figures across a variety of disciplines. The interviews consist of athletes, artists, and entrepreneurs -- really anyone with a passion for what they do, regardless of what that is.

Hinch and Rossi take us through that latest race, the Indy GP, going into detail about Alex's race, and Palou's dominance. They talk about how the tire rule change effected the race, and if they'd want to see it happen again at different tracks. Also, it's opening week for Indy 500 Practice, so the guys get into the weeds on that, too. There's still time to get your tickets to see our Live Show on the 19th! Alex was pleasantly surprised by the hybrids in the test at IMS, but there are still some issues to work through, plus it's race week, not Tim's -no one cares about that one- but Barber. All that, plus Alex had another squirrel in his place, and apparently Brunner is a Houdini-Doodle, or Houdoodle, if you will.+++Off Track is part of the SiriusXM Sports Podcast Network. The guys keep losing -or laundering- their AirPods. Drivers need to learn to trust their teams when they're on the track. Hinch had a good time at Suzuka, even though the race was boring, and Long Beach was coming up. So, don't forget to tune in. On multiple TVs. Hinch can't make it, until he can, but at least he's really tired and has bad internet (in Japan somehow). Alex breaks down his weekend and the positives he can take away from it, while fully dodging any conversation about pineapple on pizza. Rossi goes over how massively important set-up days are for drivers during tests. Then Hinch has a feel good travel story for once. There's some controversy over teeth on race cars, and social media fall out, plus racing in Sebring, calling IndyCar the fastest racing, Scuba diving, and more!+++Off Track is part of the SiriusXM Sports Podcast Network. The "We're all effed up on Painkillers!" episode.
Drug Talk w/ Thim 🫠 You're going to get letters 😅
Roll Tide!
Happy Holidays Guys!
love listening to Hinch and Rossi! Tim ain't bad either.
I can't lie, the incident between Romain and Josef might have caused some mild cheering in my home...my husband was happy to see Romain in the wall. I thought it was good racing!
I'm a fan, but really disappointed to hear Alex bail on discussing Mid-Ohio. If not talking about racing, you're just a couple of bros yakking about food, travel, and bourbon......
love Nickelback! 🤣
Is there anyway to get all the voices at the same volume? I turn it up to hear Alex talk but then everyone else’s voices are super loud. He starts off loud but as he talks he gets quieter. Enjoying the podcast otherwise.
Alex just get James a new computer that has a foolproof version of Zoom on it! 👌🏻😂
Really don't know how to respond to this episode. On the one hand I sort of understand Alex's frustration on pole day not going as we hoped , but he went on to say that "the track chooses the winner" so he could be that one, so he should still feel positive. Hazel is becoming a key part of the show and hearing Thim tell her stories reminds me of when my kids were growing up. They often do the craziest things. As a fan it's nice to be missed and it is understandably different. But that is 2020 for everyone, everywhere. Suck it up boys. You still have the best job in the world and if it's too much to take, step aside and let me or any of your thousands of fans do it. Most would give their left or right nut to be in your position, 2020 or not. Good luck and skill to you both.
Been watching too much Indycar Quali, F1 and NHL hockey so missed hearing "Who you are?" episode until today. Congrats on SiriusXM. The quality of the audio is so much better this time, a guess the old tech works well. Great to hear the Mario stories. He is rightfully a hero to most. I wat at Mosport when they said they would name the backstright for the driver who had the highest top speed there over the weekend so Mario had his team do an ultra low downforce setup on his car during qualifying so that it would be named for him? It is still called the Andretti Straight. He is an amazing man.
Great episode, even more personality coming out from all three of you who I look forward to hearing. I was to attend my very first 500 in 2020 after having attended literally hundreds of live motorsports events and have mixed emotions. On the one hand I hope I didn't jinx the event and on the other I get to watch live again and can make plans for next week. Reddit like most social media has become a toxic environment and not worth thinking about. I agree with Tim, I racing is much easier that real driving, and is hard to learn. I can only image the gap to driving a real Indycar. Like jumping over a fence vs rocketing to the moon. Finally glad that Becky is back in Canada where it's possible to make a movie and wish all of you safety and good health as you navigate the hopeless mess that is the USA Covid-19 response.
I look forward to every new podcast they release! I also like hearing the dogs or about the dogs...maybe they should extend the show by 10 mi Utes just for doggie chat!
This was an excellent episode and it left me highly optimistic about all three of you. I listen largely because I am an fan of the Mayor and I am like almost everyone else and want to see him back in the car full time. That said James you are as much a natural behind the mic as behind the wheel. It appears as if you really enjoy the job which is a big positive. Still you belong in the car. I really think that Alex showed more of himself in this episode that in any previous one. I heard an understanding and honest acceptance of the situation. IMO this is the right base for a solid remainder of the season. Alex you are just as talented now as before and so is the team, so by standing on a solid base the group of you are going to leap forward and earn the result you expect and deserve. Thim maybe has the hardest job. You are trying to stay positive and find your own happiness all the while being a single parent and working to put as much joy as you can into your daughter's life.
The moderately informative episode was as described. The Texas race was certainly not as exciting as in the past and I thought it was entirely due to having the NASCAR compound on the track but learned that there was much more to it. Great to hear about the windscreen as well. Most interesting to me was the description of the differences in the pandemic approaches between the states. This is especially important when viewing the strength of the wave in Texas vs Indiana. I just hope that our heros and all of Indycar remain very cautious so that we can count on having ongoing races for the rest of the year.
IMO, it is a brave man who attempts to teach their partner anything at all and especially how to (race) drive. That's why this particular episode is one of the best ever, hearing a small likely understated version of what transpired leading up to the Better half event.. I think that the ladies had to overcome unbelievable barriers to pull this off, which shows not only that they are good sports but also that they can perform under pressure. Very well done.
Kelly Rossi? Did we miss a wedding?
Could have enjoyed the episode more with some drink samples of my own. I'm sure a cold Sleeman Honey Brown is just not the same. Good to see Thim involved,
So, I just listened to the season opener episode. It's Mar 20 and I trust that you all buy into the science of the pandemic and it's severity. At the time you recorded the episode many people thought like you did, were confused and unwilling to accept things as some were stating. Not at all helped by your pres. who continues to confound and confuse. I have seen James's plea for blood which is excellent. I wish there was more we could each do to help. Let's all do what we can and hope for the best.
