City beat Everton 5-0 on the final day of the season, with Sergio Aguero coming off the bench to score twice on his final home appearance for the club. Kevin De Bruyne has signed a two-year extension to his current contract, keeping him at City until the summer of 2025. The Belgian has spent five-and-a-half years at the Etihad, a period which has seen him establish himself as one of the world’s finest creative players. It’s also been an era of sustained success, with De Bruyne winning two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and four League Cups, as well as the 2020 PFA Player of the Year award. Arriving at City when we were in the third tier, Goater’s goals were the driving force behind us re-establishing ourselves in the top-flight by the time of his departure. In doing so, he became a firm fan’s favourite and is now considered a Club legend. Goater is now part of Gareth Taylor‘s coaching staff, helping City chase trophies in the women’s game.
